I just got the 128gb from the telstra store and you also get 72000 bonus points. If you have Amazon prime, you can use those points to buy 2 years of prime theory telstra plus and still have some points left, which in the end might be better value for some

    • i read somewhere outright purchase is not eligible for the Telstra plus points..

      • Yep, no points for outright purchase unfortunately

        • +2

I called them and asked specifically about this, and said that the t&cs mention that outright purchased are excluded unless there is a special offer available, which is in this case

          • +1

            @pichxlonco: that's great..
could you please update us here once the points are credited

            • +1

@jee: I didn't get my points yet. Fed up of asking them again and again :(

    • How did you get 72,000 points?

      • There is a special offer at the moment, i think until March 31st.

        • Do you have the link to the special offer?

            • @pichxlonco: Looks like a great deal. The points are worth $216. I wonder if you still get the points if you buy through the rewards portal on monthly instalments. That way you get an extra 8,000 points.

            • @pichxlonco: Telstra site says 3 April but if I try and buy the phone half points and half pay Telstra doesn’t seem to have any stock or at least I’m sure I was looking at that. Maybe I was looking at their Google Pixel 7 Pro deal where you get a free Google watch but obviously the phone is more expensive. I’m guessing they are trying to get stock levels down or they ordered more than they thought they could sell but yes Telstra have some deals at the moment on Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro but I already have a phone on a plan. Like those 72000 points and it is on that Telstra page listed above. I doubt you can buy it over 12 months with getting a plan and iirc Telstra are still blocking their lower end plans from 5G? Or did they finally change that. Pretty sure I had to get a medium plan to access 5G. But that was two months ago so when I saw discounts on iPhones I was screaming then I realised it was the base 128GB model and I bought 256GB. I’d rather have the space in the phone and not use it I know you can bounce stuff to iCloud for fairly cheap but anyway we are talking about the Google Pixel 7. I wouldn’t mind one to play with but I wasn’t aware Telstra lock them?

    • Hi Mate, did you get your 72000 points yet?

      • I'm fighting then over this. I ported out a few days after and they haven't provided the points, so i ported back in and are pushing to get them to be added. Will update you once i get them, but in theory i should have gotten them if i hadn't ported out

        • My points arrived yesterday. A Telstra Plus staff member contacted Yesterday and reimbursed my points after I escalated the issue. Dealing with them is very difficult.

          • +1

@TammyJ: Same situation, my points should show up in 3-5 days. Spent a lot of time yesterday as they kept insisting that outright purchases were not eligible for points, even though the T&Cs state that they do if there are special promotions on an outright purchase. After like an hour of making them understand, they realised their mistake and told me the points would be processed. what a pain

As per Google stores price match system, they will refund the difference after your Google store order has shipped.

This combined with the 10% credit back with 2TB Google One plan would make the Google Store a better deal IMHO…

    • +1

Yes thanks. multiple options to maximise benefits via Google (Price match+ google plan), Woolworths (Ultimate GC + points ), Telstra (Points)

Officeworks accepts ultimate everyone gift cards, currently on sale at Woolworths (20 X points)

Thanks mate.. added info into description

    • How many Ultimate gift cards could be used in a single transaction?

      • I don’t believe there is a limit. I used 15 at JB

      • don't know if there is a limit at officeworks.
but pretty sure there is no limit at jb hi fi, as a backup option

  • I bought one for my Mrs. Pretty good value at this point in time I reckon.

Also, I like the idea of B & M purchase in case there is any issues.

    Cheers

    • Would you mind telling what is B & M

Bricks and mortar aka physical store …

  • I have a $300 gift voucher to use at JB-hi fi.
Will they do a price match + my gift voucher + Ultimate Everyone Gift Card with the 20x woolies points?

    Shoulda been launch price

    • Are you still hacking on Pixel phones? lol

      • I mean, common sense. If you can get an iphone 13 for 1-1.2k, who gonna buy pixel 7 for 1k?

        • Somebody who isn't interested in getting an iPhone?

        • -1

Would take any phone over an iPhone so you get a more flexible operating system. I believe a lot of people are in this boat.
The Pixel series are typically one of the cheapest flagships on the market.

          • @xsacha:

I believe a lot of people are in this boat

            Sales do say otherwise though.

The Pixel series are typically one of the cheapest flagships on the market.

For a good reason, they are one of the worst flagships on the market.

  • Buy this now or wait for the Pixel 7a? Obviously, the 7a would be a mid ranger, but does anyone know how much the midrange devices from pixel usually cost?

    • +2

Praying that they make it a smaller handset, around the 5.8 to 6.0 inch mark. I'm a buyer then.

      • Seriously? You're 'praying' for a smaller phone to be releashed?

  • Far out I just bought this from jb the other day :/

  • +1

And I just paid $320 to have my Pixel 6 screen fixed, duh!

  • Officeworks also accepts NSW back to school vouchers.

Does anyone know when this sale ends ?

    • following

    • Think I read on the website 3 April or maybe when stocks run out??

  • Do Pixel 7's still have any connectivity issues, overheating and phone calls dropping out?
As well as issues such as failing to charge reliably?

    • i can confirm my 3 days old pixel 7 has heating issues, experienced when using maps navigation while charging.
changed the navigation to dark theme and try not to charge while navigating. seems to work
