$1116 check it here
Oof, well I guess JB's price is pretty similar for those who missed out
@DoubleU743: But you could price match it at JBHIFI when the deal was available.
I had a 55 inch model in the cart and going to checkout last Friday and the code stopped working. A man was devoed. 😩😩😩
Which one is better for computer use. Text editing, coding etc
You realise how far you need to sit from a 55" monitor? Go with the 42"
I don't think OLEDs make for a great computer monitor. Too much grain in the picture. You don't notice it on small high resolution phone screens, but can notice it on laptop screens that are OLED, a TV would terrible.
That could be the touchscreen layer causing the grainy image
It's in the display, the same model with an LCD doesn't have it.
Here's a discussion on Reddit about it. Some people notice it, others don't. I'd be plugging a laptop in at the store to check before buying one.

@JIMB0: I can only see it when I'm 20cm away from the screen. I think it'll be unnoticeable for most people.
If that's your primary use you sure as hell shouldn't be looking at OLED
Why not? Burn in isn't relevant anymore as LG replace all panels for free anyway
Last time I checked, they said burn-in was not covered
So deliberately screw it up, than hope they keep their word?
Or just get something more suitable that is also more appropriate for text viewing.
Maybe because text clarity is the weak point of these OLED TV's, oh and panel uniformity apparently.
@reactor-au: Yep. I’ve just kicked off a return of an Alienware 34 oled (going back to a lg 38) due to it being a bit crap (for me anyway) for productivity .
Would’ve been tempted by the 42 given it’s actually cheaper now but I just don’t think oleds are that suited for my mixed use
How is Sony in that regard, ref the 55" OLED deal?
QD-OLED is better for text editing and coding. Hardware unbox did a monitor reviews on the difference. Say that Windows 11 is not suitable with texts/productivity work
Triangle RGB is definitely better than WRGB for text despite the absolute scene the LG fanboys made when they found out about QD-OLED.
If text clarity is such a huge issue to someone that they're willing to take a gigantic hit to picture quality for a marginal improvement to text rendering they should just get a 4K LCD.
Hmm, very tempting. Thinking about trying on for my PC monitor… might get a TV stand so i can pull my desk away from the wall a little bit and have it further back?
What are peoples thoughts on these for pc gaming? More so meaning the size of it, I have 65" C8 (yes its old LOL) so i know how good OLED is in general aha.
Good deal but not the cheapest. It's been cheaper just 4-5 days ago.
