Agreed, a small tv with an average 3.1 soundbar for almost $3k is crazy expensive. $1k for a 3.1 soundbar too….. I would expect 7.1 for that price. And like you said, just get bookshelf speakers out something for better sound and cheaper

I have a soundbar system and it's wonderful, this is a good price if you want both.

What is a good price for 55” G4 (ignore sound bar) ?
@GordonR: Considering most people cannot distinguish between a C4 and G4 on picture quality, you’d only wanna be paying a couple hundred higher than the 55” C4 price. You’d be mad to get a 55” G4 over a 65” C4.

This is such a bad take. I understand people not wanting to buy the expensive one but 'mad to get a g4'?
i bought the G4 and i enjoy it every day

Size and price aren't everything. Some people like to strike a balance between all those things AND quality. You'd be MAD to say that the C4 is a superior product.
@cramblamwich: Obviously not superior, slightly inferior, but most people cannot distinguish between the 2 despite all the fancy numbers.
@GordonR: The prices they are right now are the lowest they've been. They will only get cheaper until the 2025 models drop.

I think Harvey Norman is cheaper. has $1000 discount and total price for the pair is 2780
I have a C4 and it’s amazing. I paid 2400 for it, so the G4 and the soundbar seem like a decent deal.
Soundbars are pretty rubbish in comparison to a proper separated system though. You can’t beat physics and upgrade paths. Cheap 5.1 > top end soundbar anyday.
Far too expensive, in my opinion.
I don't want the "soundbar" which will be trash compared to an old school speaker set-up.
Dropping $3k on this tv and a soundbar, isn't the way of the ozbargainer.
