90ml???? Is this a cup for ants

Haven't you seen the pathetic little cups coffee drinkers use? 1 mouthful and it's empty.

I agree with you, though. We have nice 500ml mugs in our house. Makes for a decent cuppa - tea, coffee, Milo etc. Much more enjoyable.

You can have your giant frappe Starbucks in those

Ever considered moving to plastic buckets altogether?

Hell yeah man nothing like a 500mL glass of neat espresso to get you going in the morning

      • So not wanting to water down my coffee and dilute its flavour is pathetic? Interesting take.

        • So not wanting to water down my coffee and dilute its flavour is pathetic?

Hmmm … so the only way to get a 500ml coffee is to take a 90ml coffee and add water?

          • +1

@photonbuddy: Unless you want to have like 10 shots of coffee at once, basically, yes, you are diluting it with water, milk or whatever else. A double shot of espresso is roughly 60-70ish ml, even if you're having a quadruple shot's worth in your 500ml vessel, that's a lot of diluting.

I have a double shot out of a tiny cup as I walk out the door every morning, because it all up takes about a minute of a half to make and drink, and at that time of day, all I want is my caffeine as quick as possible whilst still tasting nice.

            • @witheredcouch:

I think you're confusing espresso with 'normal' coffee. It's very easy to make a 500ml cup of Nescafé.

              • @photonbuddy: I was referring to you calling it a "pathetic" little cup, despite it likely being as much coffee as your 500ml nescafe etc. Anyway, people have different preferences, I would rather a tiny delicious espresso than a large cup of Nescafé, neither are pathetic.

You'll still fit a lot of ants in it.

So no one has ever heard of espresso? Great deal! Description does deviate from pack of 1 to pack of 6 here and there so hopefully we get 6.

  • +7

These are $10 and are for 6 so you might be better getting these if you want this size https://www.amazon.com.au/Duralex-France-Picardie-8-Ounce-Tu…

A few of the other sizes are on special as well if you want larger sizes, not all are though.

    • +2

Yep I got Picardie set of 6 used on Amazon for like $8 a few months ago and they're great. Use them almost solely for espresso and small affogatos. Picardie is slightly wider than Provence (OP's post)

Thanks OP, bought the 250ml version for my flat whites

    • +3

flat whites should be served in ceramic !!

      • +4

Touché- I just like to watch the layers of coffee combine as it comes out the machine

      • +2

Does the flat white know? :)

As long as the cup is pre-heated, it makes no difference whatsoever to whether its 'see-thru' or not.

  • I assume it gets very hot with hot tea?

  • These were extremely durable, could survive a fall onto tiles, except for one that just exploded spontaneously one day.

    • +1

The one that exploded was probably the one that “survived” the drop onto tiles?

  • -1

    90ml? that's itshay

  • -2

    Are these glasses for ants?

  • +3

    Surprise no one mentioned.

Same price at Peter of Kensington eBay. Able to use $5 plus voucher to make it $13 for a six-pack 250ml.

  • +1

It says pack of 1 on Amazon? Is it 1 or 6…?
