a buy once proposal for the occasional user
    .

    • The one that I have posted it's the Autolock Fatmax 8m which it's even more expensive.

That looks like the one with the standard 19mm width

The one OP posted is the 31mm width.

I've only used the 31mm and standoff was better then her other brands I tried.

I've just measured it at 29mm (likely 31 when flattened). has 3.3m standout spec
my reason for commenting is to say it is a worthwhile purchase, I voted +
        .

        • What did you use to measure it?

    • +1

      It's not a Fatmax.

Fatmax for maxfat will be the envy of everyone at the worksite

Darn, if only my nearest bunnings wasn't an hour drive away

    you're fat!

I bought this a few weeks ago at full price (thanks work for reimbursement). Good tape. Definately recommend at this price!

Dont get a cheap tape, its not worth the frustration.

I've been using fatmax tapes for the last 20 years.

I had a 'tradie' my wife arranged to come quote me for a deck that I long promised her.

He pulled out a Craftright tape measure.

It was at that moment, I knew he wouldn't get the job, no matter how cheap it was.

2 months later, I'm half way done.. haha (using my yellow Stanley and Lufkin tape measures)

We have had this tape measure for a few months and the auto stop has stopped stopping (woah there’s a sentence!). It slowly retracts the tape when it’s supposed to be locked. Wish I’d gotten a cheaper non auto locking model (or paid this discounted price).

    • Plus one to this. It's okay most of the time, but sometimes it'll just slowly slide its way back in…

  • Made in USA but without inch markings, so export only.

    • Except it's made in Thailand. Just picked one up.

  • Sorry, we hit a snag.

pls update to snag-less link op

    • Try again. Sometimes the Bunnings website does that when a lot of people use the same link.

  • Great price for a solid tape measure.

If there's no sale, go for Dewalt tough tape, the best tape measure for durability

  • I have had this tape for years and it is still as good as the day I got it. Standout is still as solid as when I bought it. Much better than the Milwaukee one I got at a similar time with the same standout spec.

  • E14: 136703501 Duratool D00007 only $3.93 at the moment, but width is 25mm, still 8 metres

  • Need one with bananas, the internet scale of size.

Powerpass is still showing the old price.

  • These tapes are great when you're doing a house frame especially with roof trusses when you have to extend the tape for a measurement.

This is a great tool - with the added bonus that it's metric on both sides, so you don't have to deal with imperial nonsense.

Note, it's made in Thailand and not the US as indicated above.

    • Sorry mate, just copied paste what the website wrote. Still good deal for $20 though.

      • Agree, it's still a great tape.

At least it's not made in China.

        • 👍

        • Thailand is worse than China

            @x x: Not IMO.

            You're entitled to yours.

  • The Bunnings in Preston, VIC, say they have 3 in stock but not assigned to any aisle, but I went in and they can't find it, this isn't unusual for that particular store though.
