have one of these, its great. Don't think, just buy.

    • yes, its good.

    • +1

      Squirt well 9/10.

      • Mine jerks after few years. 1/10.

        • No squirt?

        • +4

Obviously you have to jerk it a bit before it squirts.

    • yes worth it

    • agreed

  • Cheers perfect timing just broke my existing one last week got 18 months out with a decent amount of use.

  • +1

Is it just me or this is not same as the pressurised oil cans you get. This one more of a sprayer than mist. Unless i ended up with a faulty unit?

    • you def got a faulty one or overfilled

    • yes, it's more like mist and broke the plastic cap after 6 months. Not the best quality, but can't complain with the low price.

    • Mine is like half mist half spray

      • +1

I believe the squirt action's all down to the technique. Strong consistent pull works for us.

  • +1

these are amazing…dont delay, buy today

  • +1

Thanks. I have been waiting for couple months. My old one was broken after using for > 5 years

  • I love these.

  • +1

Have been looking for something like this for a while. Thanks OP!

    • +3

where as I have never been looking for this and now that I see I will buy it.

      • This is the way

        • This is the OzBargain way ;)

  • +3

Can anyone recommend a glass / metal (non-plastic really) oil sprayer that sprays in a mist and not in a stream? They all seem quite terrible and unreliable.

    • +1

I tried the metal/glass bbq one from Bunnings, was about $30 and utter junk. Returned it immediately and have just used this deal one since, nothing comes close in my searches

    • I'd say this one is more like a mist than a stream.

    • What's wrong with plastic? I've dropped mine a few times trying to carrying everything from the kitchen to the BBQ in one trip lol

      • +2

other half says clear plastic is a no-no for the longevity of the oil. Plastic, puts her off. I bought, it's great, keep in cupboard out of the light.

  • The best.
1 for oil cooking and saving those Teflon pans from aerosol cans which destroy them.
1 for water / apple cider spritzing on smoker.

  • +1

No brainer if you have an air fryer. This one reviews the best compared to the pump style.

  • Refilling this is a pain. Once the internal bag deflats, hard to re-flats to put in more oil. Unless im doing something wrong.

i got the kmart version 10x better.

    • +8

You might have used a different version, from what I know there is no inner plastic bag in this one.

    • Think you've got the wrong model guy

    • I have a plastic bag version as well - bought it from amazon about a year ago.

    • +1

The new model doesn't use a bladder iirc. They haven't made the old version in years.

    • +1

I used to just blow on it and inflate it before filling it again. Mmmmm olive oil.

    • Yeah the earlier version had a bladder, very annoying. The new version doesn’t have that inner bag. Spray top is identical as far as I can tell.

I chucked out my inner-bag one when I got the next version, totally worth the upgrade

    • I read a couple of people say this every deal. But we've never struggled with ours (old bag model).

Fill it maybe 3/4, give a gentle squeeze in all directions, and it settles-in. Repeat to maybe 90% high (the added weight helps). Done.

I'm honestly blown-away how often we fill it, how much olive-oil we use. And we're light fryers, if anything. 2-3 squirts for a large pan, every 2nd night (guess).

    • Blow in the small hole at the bottom of the bottle to reinflate the bladder.

  • +1

I find when I use this for olive oil or similar to spray , the spraying function is inconsistent - doesn't really work properly every time I use the trigger. Any one figured that out?

    • I use Crisco brand canola oil and it works perfectly. Get such a powerful mist that I have to tilt the frying pan or it'll bounce off or spread too wide.

      • I thought canola oil is not as healthy as olive oil.

        • +1

I dunno. My waffle recipe asks for canola oil so that's all I buy.

          • @AustriaBargain: Different Oils work better at different temperatures. I'd say (if you ain't allergic to peanuts) that groundnut oil should be your go to for most situations. olive is better for dressings, except mayo, when it's too strong (use groundnut, it's tasteless, which allows the other flavours to shine). canola you can use in anything, it's cheap, but allegedly isn't particularly healthy compared to the alternatives.

  • Bought one of these a while back, have stopped used it because it stopped spraying a mist which was great and is now dripping and spraying stream of oil in random directions. Anybody figure out how to correct this? I miss using it as it was great to start with!

    • +4

Try washing the nozzle in hot detergent water

  • Does it drip around the nozzle?

  • Perfect timing, my kids broke mine on the weekend and I had it on my list to get another from Woolies! Thanks!

  • good - once you get used to the funny trigger shape and don't squeeze it with the trigger at the back and spray oil over your stomach - I use this by preference for oiling meats before grilling in the air fryer - gets a little oily around the top but I just use a tissue to wipe it dry

  • +1

    These are great.
So good that I even saw one being used in the Apple Store last week. I assume it had a cleaning agent in it, but then again maybe the iDevices needed a bit of lube to keep them spick and span :)

    • The missus tried some online cleaning (marketing) thing, which came with something VERY similar. Called something simple, like kobo.

  • Spotlight would beat it by 10%. I believe they have this line.

  • +1

Weird question but would this be good to spray sea salt for hair?

    • Unsure, but I am really curious as to why you want to do that.
      Not being critical. Genuine curiosity.

      • Texture & volume

        • +1

Mmm, crusty. you can use these with a vitamin c solution after you swim in a pool, it stops the chlorine bleaching and wrecking your hair. I get the missus to spray my back hair when I'm toweling off.

          • @Robc: Remember to towel front-to-back… not back-to-front.

  • Bought 3, and would do it again if any of these broke.

It used to be $5 few years ago

  • Oos at my local woolies.

Better to get on Amazon vs driving around store to store.

  • Been very happy with this spray bottle. Recommend.

Anyone know where to find a good inexpensive foaming spray bottle?

  • Can't find the Amazon price matched one, it is showing up at 12.95
