    Wife’s gonna kill me

    • +7

Because she demands 4 ply, like mine does?

      • +1

        In fairness..

3 ply basically feels like 2 ply now. And 4 ply feels like the old 3 ply.

        • But if you fold 2 pieces of 4 ply it's like 8.. and 3 will be 6..

then you should have chosen a better anniversary present than this

When I was younger I used to laugh at my mother for stock piling toilet paper on sale.

But nowadays i do it religiously.

      Ouch. Felt that.

Might not be a lot of comfort but she and her tradition lives on in you

She might not be on Facebook, give her a call else?

      • She passed away from cancer

        • +2

Sorry to hear, the only comfort you might take from that is no mother should have to outlive her kids, good that you and yours are doing well, presuming that 48 rolls of toilet paper mean you are not alone in the house

My condolences, I feel your pain as my mum also passed away recently from a 5 year battle with cancer. Please stay strong and I pray that her spirit will continue to thrive within you and your family!

    These are identical to Quilton
    https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/390686/vev…
    $10.60 per 24 pack
but if you have Woolies everyday extra..
after 10% woolies extra + 4% gift card = Cheaper by $2.468 per 24 pack compared to Quilton
might not seem much but that's $29.61/yr in savings if you only use 1 pack per month :P

  • The aldi ones are $9.99 for 24 and made by Quilton. Identical in every respect.

    • So they're both Quilton branded?

      • The Aldi Confidence branded ones are basically Quilton quality… Would not be surprised if both the Woolworths and Aldi branded ones are made by Quilton.

        • As long as you don't get the double length confidence ones from Aldi, they are far superior, much stronger paper

        • Apparently ALDI have recently changed suppliers and they are more inferior. Its all over the ALDI Australia FB forums

  • How this compared to Costco?

    • +39

One is a membership warehouse and the other is toilet paper.

Woolworths has the same price starting this Wednesday, 23 May.
If you have Woolworths Insurance, you get 10% off.
Use a 4% off gift card for an additional discount.
    Calculation: $23 × 0.9 × 0.96 = $19.87

Getting alot of these large Amazon items not available for delivery in my area, prime becoming less useful now

    • Same, i used to order tons of things off Amazon… But now it's not worth even having, and i rarely buy there since they changed.

I moved from Quilton to iCare $23.33 with sub
    Same quality
    Recycled, paper wrap.

  • Time to restock!!

  • How does this compare to the Aldi stuff in terms of price?

  • OOS?
I keep getting error "a backing instrument is required for the purchase"

    • That's a weird error message, still in stock here. Not shipping to PO box or parcel locker? Might need to be to a house due to size. Nothing else in cart?

      • Nothing else in the cart, I'm paying with the usual amazon gift card balance, and delivering it to home address.
I never get this error before.

      • +1

Quick update, I tried again today, and it works flawlessly first try.
I don't know what's wrong yesterday, I've been trying few times throughout the day and keep getting the same error message.

  • Looks like out of stock now

    • Still available here. Likely Amazon aren't shipping the item to your postcode. Discussion here.
