  • Is there a t&c for the bonus? Can't find one in the above link. Is this for new customers or what constitutes as a new customer? I am pretty sure I had this card a couple of years ago for the bonus and promptly closed it off.

Don't think you have to be new customer - this is what I could find:

      • To qualify for the bonus offer you must apply and be approved for a new Orange One Low Rate credit card and make 5 eligible purchases before 31 March 2023.
      • Existing ING customers who currently hold an Orange One credit card are not eligible for this offer.

hmm the rewards is only mere $100, but then again technically only min 5 cent spend required too. so IDK upto you. I personally would want at least a $200 bonus on a credit enquiry,

      Yep as I said

this deal may not be the best option for everyone

Hope they are better than the CBA:
CBA to me: Hey your credit score is too high! We recommend that you apply for a card from us and spend more.
Me going thru all the application process. CBA to me: Hey we have good news for you: Your credit score is high enough for a huge spending. But we also are afraid to tell you no matter how we would love to have you as a high flying customer we have just found out that your skin complexion does not comply with our guidelines. But do not despair, we have a solution: Just agree to a much higher interest rate and we will stop calling you a non compatible person……
Thanks CBA so nice of you….

Credit enquiry for $100 not worth it

  • +2

I have always be conflicted with this credit enquiry dilemma. One bunch of folks who churn credit cards regularly say it is no big deal as long as everything is paid in time and no defaults on your name. While there is this other bunch which makes it sounds like a bad thing to get a credit enquiry.

I personally have churned a few credit cards in the past and haven't had a drop in my credit score. Or is the more than just credit score?

Some lenders will decline a finance application just on the basis of the number of enquires within the last year irrespective of your score.

      Source: was a broker

    • I don't get it either, I've churned heaps of cards and monitored my credit score, it hardly ever changes. Never had any issues with any financial institutions.

    Thanks op

  • Credit enquiry for $100 not worth it,

  • Then how much would you guys willing to sign up a card for?

  • hi there, i couldn't find above info about $100 back, is it targeted only ?

    • I got an email from ING about this but you don't have to get an email in order to be eligible for this promo.

      • Thanks, just checking my email, nothing from ING about this deal, so assuming it is targeted offer

        • If you are an existing ING customer, I suppose you need to get the email to be eligible. (Targeted)

However if you are not an existing ING customer, then you can claim this promo (Non-targeted)

Invite your family and friends along too

Think your family and friends deserve $100 too? No problem.

They can also get this exclusive offer if they apply for an Orange One Low Rate credit card using the promo code Bonus100 in their application, and if they're approved and make 5 eligible transactions with their new Orange One Low Rate credit card by 31 March 2023, they'll be thanking you for their $100 bonus.

  • what are the good features of the card?
