They're $225 at Umart.
Thanks
I got the b660m version of the same for about $20 more, not sure how deal this is.
How is mini smaller than micro?
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Goes ATX, micro ATX, mini ITX
Different form factor.
ITX is smaller than ATX.
The mini is related to ITX
I asked my wife and she explained it clearly with diagrams and pictures. I regret everything
We all can see the power of inflation in the past two years. I still remember getting a B550M-H for around $30 bucks from Metrocom eBay before which is now around $90.
That is not inflationary pressure causing that but demand on smaller boards.
That is exactly one cause of inflation.
Demand goes up beyond what can be supplied at a reasonable price and/or supply is constrained to meet current demand. Prices go up to compensate. This can be measured as inflation.Components in that said motherboard can also cost more to make due to the same factors. (demand exceeding supply)
What is this inflationary pressure you speak of?
That's not the power of inflation, that's the power of a price error. $30 has never been the normal price for a motherboard.
does this fit in this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/753635 ?
No. atx is bigger than itx
thanks
No
Unfortunately ITX Mobos are generally very expensive.
And almost zero options. It's dead-set ridiculous.
All advice said to grab one of two options: Asus or Gigabyte.
I'm looking at $349 from PCCG, or $389 from Scorptec… the ONLY stores with stock.
dang, wish i had this instead of my b550 tomahawk atx
Anyone has experience with the seller? Never heard of them.
Limited payment methods.
What payment option are you wanting to use instead? I can't remember the last time I didn't use PayPal if it was an option.
Placed my first order with them about a week ago. Order was shipped next day and received the day after.
I got this board in their last special about 2 weeks ago.
Got it within a week to regional NSW (with tracking too).
I thought most PC builders would want AM5 now?
Have you seen the price on AM5 boards? It's like double B550 prices. Plus you have to use DDR5. These can still take a 5800X3D and be relevant in 1440p+ gaming for years to come
Is it worth upgrading from B450? Mainly curious, probably couldn’t be bothered actually doing it.
Unlikely
Cheers
Only if you need / want to use the PCIe gen 3 x4 slot (USB 3.2 gen 2x2 add-on, Thunderbolt 4 add-on (unclear whether this MB has a Thunderbolt 4 header or not - probably not) and/or you want PCIe gen 4 x4 SSD support.
Currently have 970 pro Samsung m.2 and am waiting for a 6700 (non-xt), but I understand the 6700 doesn't really need PCIe4.
So maybe this is the end of the line for this build? R5 3600, 16GB RAM.
You might be able to find a cheap 5600 or 5600x on sale at some point and sell your 3600 on eBay. Should be a pretty snappy gaming and casual use setup for next few years. I wouldn't bother with upgrading mobo though but you might consider wifi 6 upgrade.
It's best not to upgrade because upgrading the board will lead to wanting to buy a PCIe gen 4 x4 SSD. Then, you might be tempted to get an USB 3.2 gen 2x2 PCIe x4 card.
Best to use the budget towards a new system later on (AM5 or Intel 13th gen or newer).
If you have a gaming gpu and need extra pci card (network, wifi…) This will not work. Space is to small between the x1 and x16
Gigabyte B550M Aorus Elite was $94 before
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/638721I need an AM5 M-ITX board… I doubt there will be any 'deals' although according to PCPP prices have been steadily falling
Why would anyone want a micro board? Thought gamerbois want to impress the gamergirls with the big rigs?
I have this exact board for my SFF build using SAMA IM01 case (same size as CoolerMaster's NR200 but can fit mATX board like this).
The beauty of mATX board like this, compared to ITX board, are additional slots for RAM, Nvme SSDs & PCIE. With the right parts, it can be much cheaper to build a PC using mATX board while making it as small as possible.Have been reading a few reviews, and folks complaining about USB issues with this board. Have you ever experienced such an issue? I really want to get this board, but just want to be sure it is a solid buy.
I didn't have any issues with the USB ports, but I noticed that my board was already flashed with the latest firmware so that might be why.
It's a really good board, I maxed out the RAM to 128GB & it's truly a blessing not to run out of memory when doing any After Effects work.
Arrived on Friday the 3rd. Install it in the new case. All done. Don't have any issue with the USB ports. It works beautifully.
This will give the ITX a run for its money.

What is rrp for these boards?
