  • Checkout with PayPal

Great price, i got a Ryzen 7500F for $164 (after cash rewards cashback) delivered from Ali express… took around 2 weeks to get to me.

    • Now that's a bargain

  • ive heard of lots of aliexpress horror stories for cpu mb. bent pins, refurbished, repaired etc. I bought my next case from aliexpress, but i dont think i could lock in a more critical hw piece.

The below has you covered. You'll find those issues pretty quickly.

Lots people say they have heard, but not very many have ACTUALLY had happen to themselves, ive personally had NO problems with any cpu or mb ive bought from aliexpress and ive bought alot

    • In my limited experience, Ali Express returns customer service is much better than eBay now.
Not Amazon level, but you'll probably get your money back.

    • I bought one recently, i was very skeptical but it worked fine and wasnt damaged. I guess do a credit card chargeback if something is wrong and they wont help you.

    • Ive been buying From ALiexpress for more than 10 years now. Mostly positive.
Make sure you check the seller, reviews and number of orders. This sellers looks ok (>700 orders of this CPU, > 80 reviews including with photos).
Also, pay by PayPal or credit card and always, always take a video of yourself unboxing the goods. This applies for any online purchase.

I have bought a number of CPUs over the years, all good. My last CPU was this exact one but from another seller that had a sale back then. Fantastic processor.

  • Where can I get a similarly discounted AM5 motherboard and RAM?

    • +1

Maxsun and Jginyue motherboards on aliexpress probably go alright

      • +5

Just to add to that, if you do want to go for one of these, lean towards the Maxsun. It's a bit more well known brand and offers a bit more software support/info than Jginyue. I got a B650i Jginyue mobo and it was a pain trying to figure out if it had a faulty memory controller or if I had bad ram.

        • Shame that the B650i has poor memory support, since most other AM5 ITX boards are super expensive.

      • Are they much cheaper than https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0C3ZLCSVP ?

      • +3

Centercom has started selling Maxsun motherboards

        • Umart have as well

      • +1

Not cheap enough really though. I have no issue with those brands but for the price difference I'd go an MSI from my local Centrecom. Different if you're a volume PC builder.

    • +1

AM4 with a 5 series cpu is probably your answer there. The Ram is very cheap if youre getting DDR4

Anyone know of any 5700x3d deals going? I got complacent that the swath of ~$215 AliExpress deals last year would continue until I got some cash together and now they've dried up entirely!

    • Yeah I setup an alert recently myself hoping someone finds one… Even sub 270 or something I'd consider. They're all close to 400! I'd really prefer local stock for sub 300 though to be honest.

My brother also upgraded from a gtx 1070 to a 7800 xt at 1080p and his 3600 is Def holding him back now. Want a cheap drop in upgrade to really stabilise his frames. They're kinda all over the place.

      • Yep, I've got a 7800xt in the mail and hoping to upgrade from 5600 so I can say my am4 1440p machine is maxed out for a good couple of years. Spewing I didn't grab one!

        • +1

Just overclock/undervolt your 5600 and make sure you’ve got high quality ram. I upgraded my ram to 3600 Corsair vengeance ($90) and now running a synced 1800 FCLK which has ironed out the bumps in performance. There is only 15% performance difference between a 5600 and a 7700 so close the gap as much as you can cheaply and skip DDR5 systems and AM5. Too many issues!

      • +1

I'm still rocking a 2600…. Also definitely the bottleneck in my system haha
And also spewing I missed those x3d CPUs changes… Am looking out for them now too.
If you see, share on Ozb! Tia.

Extra 1% cashback if you use Revolut by the way. You’ll need to activate the cashback via app and pay directly via their card though.

  • Really wish the 5700X3D was in stock 😭

  • Would this be a good CPU for MSFS24?
Working on a new build PC, have got 32GB ram and working on a GPU now but seems CPU is a potential bottle neck for this game.

    Thanks!

  • The 8400f is probably worth a look at as well if you're after something to just chuck in AM5

    • +1

the 7500f is faster than the 8400f

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TE8p7mbqF6I

ofc depends on the price difference between them. the 8400f has less L3 cache.

      • Well yes, but the 7500f isn’t that cheap anymore and you can get the 8400f for 135aud

I just need a cpu to pair with a gpu for ai workloads, and this is fine for that. If I was gaming I’d definitely spring for the 7500f or 7700

  • Can we stop linking subdomains of Aliexpress? I have to constantly go in and forget all my cookies so it stops redirecting me to the Vietnam version.

    • +1

Yeah sorry I usually exclude them. Frustratingly it happens when going through an affiliate link from cashback or similar.

  • Thanks OP, just purchased. Can anyone recommend a motherboard to pair with this? I'm out of the loop with PC components these days.
