I believe this is the ATL on the 7500F which is a 7600 without iGPU. BIOS update may be needed for some motherboards.
Edit: I put the link for the wrong CPU

Around $154 with the 12% cashback at TCB, pretty nuts for a 7500F

  • How do you know if you need bios update with certain board?

    • +1

you can check the manufacturer website for your board.

      • +1

some boards may also come with the update already installed, it Depends

        • +1

You can also check via Windows what version the firmware is.

Aliexpress also has 7700 for $274, I wonder if it's legit or worth the extra

    • +1

just gaming/office? probably not worth it
      anything else? probably worth it

      • +1

        Strictly gaming only

        • +1

          7500F, 7600 and 7800X3D run game at 64w .. the 7700 games at around 71-81w :)

  • Would you buy a 7800X3D from aliexpress? Seeing more and more people purchase their CPU off these and although they seem to be working, what protects you if they die 6-12 months later?

    • +1

If it works fine during the 90 days it is very very unlikely to be faulty any time soon (unless it's intel haha)

      • it's so temptinggg… i'd save >$100-150 for the CPU but is it worth it in the context of a $3k+ build that i plan to use for at least the next 5 years….

        • +1

Yeah shouldn't have any issues but if you have 3K it might be worth looking at a 7800X3D

          • @CHUNITHM Luminous: Yeah, i meant i could probs save over $100-150 if i get a 7800X3D from aliexpress vs locally.. my only issue is if they give these aliexpress sellers the bottom of the pile CPUs but i'd never know if i have one because i wouldn't have a top of the pile one to compare to… i guess i could stress test it under benchmarks and see how it compares to others testing at stock with similar setups?

            • @abe465: Yeah just when you receive it run some stress tests and if it passes you'll most likely be fine

            • +1

@abe465: 7800X3D is more likely to be a better binned 8 core chip VS a 7700 or 7600.

7500F is a great CPU with a failed GPU

At the end of the day all these CPU's are rejected server CPU's that run at crazy low power draw to the Mhz speeds they achieve.. Those Chiplets go on 128/256 core CPU packages

            • @abe465: Which 7800X3D on Aliexpress are you looking at? I can't seem to find any at the $100-150 price savings that you mentioned.

              • +1

@devisticshash: There’s none at the moment.. but they pop up here and there during the aliexpress sales

        • +1

tbh the only risk is that it ends up doa and you have to go through a gruelling year long expedition to get a refund or replacement from aliexpress

  • +1

Add cashrewards 7% discount, only $165, good deal!

    • Nice :)

    • AliExpress: 12% Cashback ($30 Cap per Transaction) on Affiliated Products @ TopCashback
i checked .. the above CPU is an affiliated product.

Yesterday bought ryzen 7700 for $261 aud. Aliexpress, prices have gone up a bit now.

  • Price has gone up AU$20 again. No idea if it can drop back again.

Got my 7500F delivered this morning. Took just 6 days.

  • Got mine delivered, working just fine with a -10 curve optimiser with around 350 fps in Cs2 and 500 fps in Valorant at 1080p. Fantastic chip might keep it for another 3-4 years before I consider an X3D upgrade on the AM5 platform.
