  • Have anyone ordered? Is it AU or international merchant when paying credit card?

    • +1

      Seems to be au

      • +1

        Thanks. Is it ending with “AU”? Just don’t want to pay the 3%. :)

        • +1

          Unfortunately it's still only pending and ING doesn't seem to indicate if its AU or not. So I might not be as helpful as I thought at first haha

    • Delivery shows it's being sent from Perth, WA.

      • Was that part of original order or a notification since?

        • +1

          Notification as a separate email - from oneworld courier email - ordered last night.

  • +1

    bound to be stolen :P

  • Does it come with a key ring so I can throw my keys on the table to impress my gold digging grilfriend(s)?

    And now when asked do you drive, I can say of cource…. a Merc🤣🤣

    • Sounds like they should be prospecting elsewhere

  • +6

    If you're looking for a similar bike for a better price here's one thats $1300. Looks to be the same bike without the branding
    https://rideignite.com.au/collections/electric-road-bikes/pr…

    • +1

      40nm vs 80nm of torque, and different gearing it seems. Also it seems like maybe the battery isn't in the seat pole?

    • Hub motor, single-speed, good-looking but not an equivalent bike

      • could you share more about the actual difference when you ride the bike with these differences? for commute purpose

        • A single-speed bike is good for leisurely cruising, but at higher speeds your legs will be pumping. Hub motors are lighter and cheaper than mid-drives and are kinder to your drivetrain, but the direct-drive versions drag when they're un-powered, like when you run out of battery. My commute was a 45km round trip so I needed to cruise efficiently at high speed.

    • +1

      Looks to be the same

      Yep, and that's where the similarities end. This is an electric fixie - lightyears away from the CVT in OP's model.

      • it is not a fixie. it is a single gear, with freewheel. a fixie has no freewheel.

  • -1

    I ride a relatively cheap 1k e-skate that does 50km/h, has 30km range and weighs 8kg, this bike will be left in my dust.

    • I wish I could ride an eskateboard but I dont have the coordination for it. They look fun though.

  • This is going to sound dum but are ebikes legal in the city in Melbourne/Sydney?
    Cause ik scooters arent… and I was gonna buy one last time. 😪

  • Damn you OzB. Always liked the design of these hidden battery n+ bikes. Just placed an order. Now need to work on how I explain another bike to the wife.

    • +5

      Thinking I could start with “I bought a Mercedes today”, after the initial shock, the price of an e-bike won’t sound so bad.

      • +2

        I always open with "how much do you think I've paid for this?"

      • +1

        I have been telling her bicycles cost a couple of hundreds, motorcycles cost a couple of grand.

        She's not interested in either and never checked the price.

    • +1

      Is it AU or international merchant when paying by credit card or Splitit?

    • Have you received yours yet?

      • @tyw4000 I have taken it for a small ride. I have put an initial review below.

  • I'm trying to resist. It's a great price for what it is, but don't need it for the next 6 months or so as I'm living in the city… Arg!

  • +2

    My better half asked me to look out for a bike just like this - bought one. She thinks the Merc bit is pretty cool. Thanks,OP.

  • Anyone heard from N+ bikes aside from initial confirmation yet?

    • No further contact after the confirmation. They are probably having a busy day as I am sure this deal will sell out.

      • Yeah for sure. I am just excited and impatient!

    • +2

      Yep I got my delivery email with a confirmed delivery date and tracking - TNT Domestic Road Express
      Ordered last night, will be delivered by Monday

      • Damn, for real? I haven't heard anything.

      • What bike did you order? This E-Team one?

        • Yeah the E-team one, been looking at an e-bike for a while, and I follow merc formula one so it was spur of the moment decision, look out for a oneworld email for delivery tracking, should include the N+ logo, when did you order it, they might be processing it the next day.

          • @me4president: Ordered yesterday around lunch time. Hope yours comes quick!

            • @theguyrules: interesting, which payment method did you use, could be taking its time due to the transaction going through, I did splitit, then decided to just pay it as the hold on the credit card plus extra is annoying.

              • @me4president: Just paid outright with my debit card. I considered split it too but yeah, that hold would be so frustrating for 20 months.

              • +1

                @me4president: Got this message from them this morning:

                We're experiencing higher volumes than usual for dispatching bikes from our distribution center in Western Australia. Based on your order queue position, we estimate that a courier will be picking up your bike for delivery in the next 2 weeks or end of the month, and tracking details will be forwarded to you for the delivery.

                Very frustrating, considering I ordered early on.

                • @theguyrules: OMG, things originate from WA?! Get outta here.

                  On their main website, where they listed the bike at full price, it said limited availability, begins shipping on February. So I am not surprised!

                • @theguyrules: Wow there must have been a lot of orders, could be an email due to the pending public holiday, I received an update of its been picked up and is in transit ><
                  They did take some time to pick up from the ordered date so could be a mix of transactions and possible couriers to different states.

  • -1

    Just curious, I tried to open the website from google, it only shows up 25% off for this ebike. And in the AU website, just can't find out this deal. Is this link real?

  • Anyone game to try a bafang programming cable to remove the speed limiter? Let me know how you go

  • -3

    This bike looks like it was - at least in part - designed my someone who doesn't use bikes.

    To charge it you need to remove the seat and put it back. Getting the seat just right is such a pain that I'm passing on that alone

    • Obviously you don't have to remove the seat to charge the battery. There is a plug just under the seat.

      • +1

        hehe why tell could have been doing it for ages till realised

  • what brand motor does it use? this is the most crucial bit for an e bike

    • -1

      Bafang from what i can see

      • I believe it's a Bofeili motor - probably able to source a replacement from Ali?

  • +1

    Ok I broke and bought it. Now need to investigate lights, rear rack and fender solutions. Is anyone finds any good options that integrate well please update if you don't mind!

    • +1

      I didn't fit guards or racks to my e-bike. You may find limited attachments on the frame. Alternatives for front: shoe covers for rainy days; rear: Carradice Super C SQR Slim https://carradice.co.uk/shop/saddlebags/super-c-seatpost-qr-… which includes a rear fender, fits a 15-inch notebook and a change of clothes

    • +1

      OEM Mercedes-EQ eBike fenders / Mud Guards $154.51 AUD

      • +3

        Reckon we can apply the 50% off to the accessories as well? 🤣

  • -3

    is this good?

  • Does anyone know if a dog trailer will work with this bike?

  • These assembling videos may come in handy: https://www.youtube.com/@nplusbikes9456/videos

    It seems brakes are already bled, the rest should be straightforward.

    If you bring it to LBS, they would probably charge 1 to 2 hours labour, so $100 to $250. Possibly closer to $250 being an e-bike.

    • N+ sent a link with videos as part of the welcome pack, pretty good service so far.

  • N+1 has charged my credit card the full $2550 in addition to a $127 charge for the 20 month payment option. Contacting them by the telephone number at their Perth webpage listed phone number gets you to a number has changed recording.

    • +2

      For Splitit, it works like that.

      "Splitit authorizes the full amount of the purchase on your existing credit card and reserves the balance until final payment is made."

      127 will be charged in the statement and $2550 is the authorisation only. They will hold your available balance every month.

    • Yeah thats why I decided to avoid Splitit.
      As you make payments the amount held on your card goes down but youve got 20 months of it.

  • Has anyone put a baby seat on this bike? any recommendations for a baby seat?

    • +1

      A front mounted child seat such as WeeRide would probably be a better experience for the child, otherwise all the child sees is your back.

  • I was aware of the terms of the SplitIt contract. Yes, the $2550 should be a reserve amount and the $127 is the actual payment - except my wife's bank insists that both $2550 and $127 have been deducted from her account.

    Thanks for the 1st neg.

    • There is no point using debit card for Splitit. If you have high credit limit on credit card, splitit will be good. Actually I’ve been charged $127.5 and $2422.5. Login splitit portal and see what you have been charged.

  • +1

    Do I have to wear helmet with Mercedes Benz logo in the forehead when riding this bike?

    • AMG preferred. Mercedes shoes or red Nike shoes also required.

  • The cs at the bank misread the statement and the $2550 is indeed a reserved amount. My wife freaked right out.

  • +3

    Some great deals on Lumos helmets on Amazon

    Limited time deal up to 70% off.
    Lots of colours and a few different designs available.
    This one is top of the range and will match the black bike.

    Limited-time deal: Lumos Kickstart Smart Bike Helmet | Front and Back LED Lights with Turn Signals | Road Bicycle Helmets for Adults: Men, Women (with MIPS) https://amzn.asia/d/66bXurP

    • +3

      thanks deal88 - very appreciated. Note that only seems to be discounted for black M size (54-61cm). Also, the Lumos Ultra for $69 - again seems to be for size M-L 54-61cm but is currently available in a range of colors. Both have MIPS which a number of way better informed cyclists than I on ozbargain have said is a very useful safety addition.

      • Thanks idyllboy. Think I better go measure my head.

        • +1

          I ordered this helmet from Amazon yesterday, and I am also worried about whether the helmet size is suitable for me. My current helmet is 58cm-61cm, and I also tried to contact Amazon and the seller to ask this question, but so far I have not received a reply. The worst case scenario is that I will have to pay the shipping fee to return it, but the $69 MIPS helmet is really attractive.

        • I just received this helmet and the wearing feel is comfortable, but it feels a bit heavy, which eliminated my previous concerns about the size. The apps are easy to use and the helmet's quality is at least on par with helmets that cost between $100-120, so it completely justifies its $69 price tag.

          • @RickyMoon: I ordered the $99 kickstarter. Very comfortable. The weight seems ok. MIPS looks like a good idea.

      • +1

        Thanks from me too - just picked up a few of the Ultras with MIPS for my family for $69 each.

    So there are 4 options:

    2022 Formula E Team eBike, the OP posted, with the following key features for $2,550:
    * Matte Black
    * 20.5kg
    * 7aH single battery with 50km range
    * 80 Nm / 250 W mid drive motor
    * Carbon Belt Drive, Enviolo CVT, 25 kph max
    https://nplusbikes.com.au/pages/2022-formula-e-team-ebike-50…

    2022 Silver Arrows eBike, as above with the following key differences for $780 more, i.e. $3,330:
    * Hand polished brushed aluminium
    * 7aH battery plus 10ah battery with 120km range
    (The 10ah battery is $805 separately)
    https://nplusbikes.com.au/pages/2022-silver-arrows-ebike-50-…

    2022 Silver Arrows Sport eBike, as above with the following key differences for $695 more, i.e. $4,025:
    * 90 Nm / 500 W mid drive motor
    ($695 for a more powerful motor, though you may not experience significantly greater performance)
    https://nplusbikes.com.au/pages/2022-silver-arrows-sport-ebi…

    2022 Championship Edition eBike I posted earlier, NOT as above, for $2,175 more than OP's $700 more than above, i.e. $4,725:
    * Matte Black with blue fluorescent highlights
    * 29kg
    * AWD (not mid-drive) with 2 x 700w hub motors
    * 14.5ah plus 5ah batteries (19.5ah) with 120km range
    * Single Speed (no CVT)
    * 45kph top speed
    * Front suspension
    * Semi-slick Maxxis Hookworm tyres
    https://nplusbikes.com.au/pages/2022-championship-edition-eb…

    Personally, I think the value is in the first two options, though I think the Polygon posted earlier ($2700 at bikesonline) is better value again. Arguably some value in the Championship edition purely for the insanity… I've not seen anything else like it, though other massive hub drives are out there.

  • Damn! I just realised I've bought the small version by mistake, while I definitely need the medium one. Just contacted them through email, I'm really hoping they can change my order….

    Anyone has any experience on this, as in customer service etc? I know there's a 14 day return policy but I'm hoping they can simply update my order before it's shipped….

    • damm that sucks, which one did you order?

      • +1

        The Formula E team one. I swear I didn't notice there was a choice at all.. what a moron! Fingers crossed they'll get back to me before shipping it, I really don't want the hassle of having to return it etc 🤞🏻

    • +1

      Update: they already got back to me asking to confirm my inseem length, to confirm I actually need the size change. Great customer service, I would say.
      I also noticed there's a form in their website where you can request order changes , including size or accesssories etc. https://nplusbikes.com.au/pages/ownership

  • Anyone actually placed an order and got receipt of tracking details yet?

    • You can request order updates (and more) from this page https://nplusbikes.com.au/pages/ownership

      • did you manage to contact them to change your bike size?

    • Yeah someone further up ordered Monday night and already got tracking.
      I ordered Monday lunch, heard nothing, asked for an update and they said

      We're experiencing higher volumes than usual for dispatching bikes from our distribution center in Western Australia. Based on your order queue position, we estimate that a courier will be picking up your bike for delivery in the next 2 weeks or end of the month, and tracking details will be forwarded to you for the delivery.

      • awesome , which one did you end up getting ?

        • The one linked in this post; the Formula E Team bike for $2550

    • I ordered the black one on Tuesday. Paid on credit card (not sure if people using split payments are waiting longer) I have been sent a tracking number and an email it should arrive next week.

      Tracking email from “One World Courier”

      Not sure if relevant, but I am in Melbourne.

      • Lucky man - I wonder if its cause I'm in Brisbane - the other user who has had theirs shipped is in Syd apparently.

        Oh well - I'll get it eventually. I'm just so excited. Makes it hard to ride my normal bike knowing I have this one coming.

        • +2

          Ooo. Had an email saying it will arrive tomorrow, but I have just had a bike size box with a Merc logo arrive.
