Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Gift Box 220g - 12 Boxes for $12 ($50 Min Order) + Delivery ($0 C&C/ $250 Order) @ Coles Online

3150

I'm assuming this may be a glitch but 12 boxes of Cadbury chocolate gift boxes for $12 and you can't go wrong… This is for online orders not in store… In-store price is 2 for $12. Only need to make sure you spend at least the minimum $50 and you'll be all set.

12 boxes only $12, great. Diabetes, priceless.

  • Got 2X (12 for $12), paid $36 with 2x beef topside become $63.. good bargain, hopefully they won't cancel it, pick it up tomorrow evening. Hopefully this is not a scam

  • -4

Why is there a min spend of $50?

  • +1

Ordered 12 for $12 for pick up in the morning. Will repost if successful

    • +1

I made a mistake. so I modify my order become 24 packs plus beef…

  • +1

Done for pickup Saturday. I live remote so lets see what's happening…

    • Lets hope there’s enough stock left until then..

  • +3

Only went with 12, No Substitutes, and paid via prepaid debit card (Revolut)…

    Reasons
    * I think it's a price error (2 for $12)
    * If subbed due to lack of stock (thanks to all these online orders), I don't want 12 large blocks of choc, even for $1 each.
    * Coles Online payment system is dodgy and charges a "pre-authorisation", unlike Woolworths which charges you immediately and the fixed amount on checkout. I'm worried if it is a price error it will charge normal pricing when your shopping is scanned by the online shopper (happens with meat, fruit, veg at Coles Online - the online prices do not reflect your weighed total).

    • Can you cancel it though?

  • +6

Good deal, but to put up with the kids asking for choc 100x a day, not worth it 😂

    • just hand them 6 and let them get sick of em. small sacrifice..

      • +1

Got a 2 and 3.5yo, they'll eat it halfway, open another packet, leave it there (then I'll eat it), ask for another, rinse and repeat. I need to watch my waist too 😂

  • +2

Hopped on the bandwagon for tomorrow morning pickup, see what happens.

  • Oh now it says "Client side error found". Party over!!!!

    • +1

      Still works for me.

      • +1

Ok. now it works suddenly again. Just concerning it is showing in the placed order $144 and $132 saved though the end price is correct…

  • Does a box contain 12 mini blocks? What's actually inside?
A quick Google search shows the gift box priced at $1 per box, see results:

    https://www.google.com/search?q=Cadbury+Dairy+Milk+Chocolate…

    Anyone else see that?

    • Woolies has details

Edit: yep I’m seeing that $1 on Google search results too

      • Yeah but I'm still confused as to what it is in the box. A normal block of chocolate from memory is 180g.

Edit. The photo on the box shows individually wrapped chocolates, similar to roses chocolate

        • It’s not a block, it’s individually wrapped chocolates - similar to Favourites. Check the Woolies link for more details of the 3 types included.

    • Yes $1 on Cadbury search

  • Placed an order, went through after linking with PayPal. Happy days!

  • +1

I think this was meant to be 2 for 12 and not 12 for 12.

    • Ah well, I won't be happy if its only 2 for 12…

      • I am not too fussed. I needed to order other stuff and just chucked these in. Got free delivery on $50 spend but don't have the coles plus membership. I ain't complaining.

  • Something went wrong
Sorry, we ran into a glitch. Please try again in a few minutes.

We're having issues loading your trolley

  • Well, purchased 24 and have received the confirmation email. Will be picking them up midday tomorrow. Easter is sorted for $24.

  • Thanks op, ordered 12
    Picking up Tommorow lunch time

  • I had to jump on this deal. It's a lot of chocolate and will need some willpower to not eat it all before Easter but I'll try. Maybe just a few now.

  • Lol… ordered 24 @ $1 each. Saved $264. :p

Hope they have enough stock !

  • Ordered 24 (also had a Flybuys offer of spend $30 for 1200 points activated), paid with Coles PMC (couldn't see anywhere to enter Coles gift cards). Allowed for substitute too. Pickup set for tomorrow morning.

    • +1

Woolies allows to use gift cards for online orders, Coles for a strange reason not…

  • +11

Had it all in checkout ready to go but cancelled at the last minute. For once I don't need it just because it's on sale…

Where do I turn in my ozb badge

    • +6

      I'm with you mate!

    • +4

Me too. Tempted but decided against it.

    • +1

      But Easter. Family. Friends. Neighbours.

    • I’m worse. I had an order confirmed for 24 @ $24, ready for C&C at 10am. This morning i got buyers regret, called Coles and cancelled the order.

  • +4

Just got order confirmation says price $144 for 12 quantity everyone please check it

Since it says “ * This is our best estimate of what your order will cost. We’ll let you know the final price once we’ve completed your shopping. Find out more by reading our Customer Agreement.”

    • +1

That asterisk is for the "Estimated total*" though. $51.30 for me which includes the 24 boxes. It's just showing the cost before savings above that. Assuming you're referring to the confirmation email here.

      • Maybe for plastic bags, may need a few

    • +3

The estimate comment is most likely in relation to meat/fruit/veg/deli where weight may not be the exact weight ordered, as I think Coles adjust the order $ based on the exact weight. Also may relate to how $ could change due to out of stock items.

For comparison years ago when I used to order online at Woolworths they would not change the order $ amount and would end up with free additional weight on items, as they make sure each item is at least the weight ordered.

Does Cadbury still use child labour?

    • +18

I hope so. Makes the chocolate taste so much sweeter.

      • +2

I cant eat chocolate now unless it's been handled by depressed slaves with nubs for hands. doesn't have the same kick.

      • Child labour in third world countries is nothing to crack jokes about mate.

      • ‘Come with meeeee, and you’ll beeeee, in a woooooorld of pure imagination….’

    • +1

Pretty sure youre thinking of Nestlé. I mean wouldnt surprise me if Cadbury was doing it too. That comment cracked me up about it tasting sweeter @cornbeef

  • +2

Geez, I'm still working my way through the boxes of Darrel Lea deal from last year, but inner OzB can't resist.

  • +3

Placed order but assume will be out of stock and will end up having to pick up the other items I ordered to get to the minimum of $50.

    • +4

Exactly was my fear. A bunch of random items and no chocolate, that's how sweet 2023 is. But there's also a chance you get replacement assorted products… 24 boxes of Roses?

      • +1

Thats what they gave me. Actually double the weight of the Cadbury boxes. Glad I kept substitutes on

  • +1

In store tag is 2 for $12. Exp 9/23

    • +2

someones getting a naughty talk for their fat fingers…

      • +5

I wonder if Coles sell a dialling wand?

        • I sure hope theres a generous muumuu policy for the working from home crowd.

  • +2

I suspect a lot of "out of stock" when you go to collect.

  • Confirmation email says $144 for 12 boxes.
    Also has $44 for 2 X Ferrero 30, Original price $22 each (2 for $25 now).
$144 is normal pricing showing on email then.

    • +1

Yes, the email says $144 for 12 boxes but the total at the bottom says saved $132.
Well, let's c otherwise modify or cancel the order in the morning.

  • So if I allow substitutes, is it done at $144 or $12?

    • Good question lol. I didn't allow substitutes.

Edit: I recall getting a 10 pack of coke for $12 instead of the 24 pack (special price) that i originally ordered. So I'm going to say they substitute at the savings price.

      • My friend gets some average substitutes sometimes. I wouldn't risk it, might get 12x 90g bars for $24 haha

  • Ordered 24 boxes. Easy cheap gifts for Easter lol.

  • -4

    I got the following email:

“The Cadbury chocolates are out of stock due to a pricing error. Instead, a new substitute product will be provided called Chocessence (1% cocoa) that we trust you will enjoy equally as well. Have a great day!”

    • That was quick. Was it priority delivery? I could only choose tomorrow for 10-12 pick up.

      • +1

I usually do Click and Collect for pricing errors so I can get it quick before they fix the error.

    • So it's been Ozbargained?

    • +1

What type of substitute is that :(

      • Sounds like a new Coles branded item. Doesn't come up on Google.

      • The type that is made in China. I have a feeling it might suit your tastebuds.

        • +1

To be fair, Google suggested "Did you mean: Chinessence" you might be onto something.

    • My sarcasm detector just went off!

    • +2

      Haha…1% cocoa… well played Coles!

    • Chocessence bahahahaha wtf is that?? How many grams of it? 5.28kg I hope. Oh shit, realising i just bought 5.2kg of chocolate.

    • +3

Is surprising how many people took this seriously… lol xD

  • Oh well, why not 😊

    • Does Uber deliver you the chocolates?

  • I think it would be the price error but good luck to all the ozbargain. Hope Coles honored it tomorrow.

  • had an issue with loading cart and checking out. refreshed page to fix it.

  • Is it $50 minimum for c&c and delivery? That means you’d have to buy 4 for $48 which means 48 boxes and then add something for $2 to the cart?

    • +1

      Max seems like 24

      • +1

        My screen says this

        Only $38.00 to go
        The minimum order is $50.00
Spend $38.00 more to checkout. Additional savings may be applied during checkout.
Additional savings may be applied during checkout.
        Go back to the trolley

        • +2

Na what he is saying is that you can only buy a maximum of 24 Cadbury units in one order…which comes up to $24.

There’s still a minimum of $50 in basket value required to be able to book a click and collect order..

They are two different points and not to be confused with each other.

  • After New Year a couple of years back Coles had 433g tins of Lindt Balls for $5 each so this could be legit. I've put in 12 and "says $132 saved"! Let's see :-)

    • +1

Unfortunately in store tag says 2 for $12

  • +6
    • $5.45 per 100g

  • Got 24 for $24.

Or in other words, paid $24 to complain about being given 24 small bars as a substitute.

    • +1

I changed to no substitutes, and also followed one of the previous Ozbargainers good advice and used a disposable cc with a limit just above my order price just in case they try to charge full price.

  • Anyone else unable to checkoutm

  • +1

Ordered 24 and ship at Sat. See if they honour that. I highly doubt that tho if its Sat.

Changed to C&C seems more reasonable so I modified that and collect it tmr

  • -5

Anyone who gets replacement I’ll take them if you don’t want them, I’m on the northern beaches, going overseas gifts no matter how cheap they are

  • +1

    Party ends

    • Actually, I think the party is just getting started. Bring some choccies!

  • -6

What a beautiful morning to downvote.

    Good luck peeps.

  • +1

    Currently unavailable on website.

    • Isn’t it funny that Coles have marked it as unavailable yet they haven’t changed the “12 for $12” red text. If it was a pricing error I would have thought they would fix it at the same time.

  • +12

Mumma always said, Coles deals are like a box of chocolates…. You never know what your gonna get

  • +1

When to go change pickup time and they were deleted from my cart saying they were out of stock :(
