The eBay product managers need to be fired

    • +9

I think all of ebays managers should be fired they're, idiots.

      • +7

eBay, in general, should be fired lol

  • +16

    Please add in the factors $J ( J = price jack) and $M ( M = Muzeeb = price error)

  • +15

am posting anyway in case they help someone to save

Post like this is always appreciated on OzBargain. Thanks OP for sharing!

    • +7

It is a PITA to write up and format, luckily I was able to reuse the formatting from a previous post…

    • +2

Information is better than no information, these posts will always help someone to save. Trying to find something to buy because there is a discount code is always a bad idea, causing bitterness in some people who invested time to find some bargains.

  • User Name of OP checks out!

  • I wonder if this is [No idea what category it is] JANPLF is "lifestyle"/living

  • +1

Thanks mate saved me 100 bucks

    • What did you buy?

      • Whole house water filtration system. I'm on tank water.

  • How much $X do i save when I spend $Y?

    • +3

Depends on how much the seller has $J

  • Jack is back

  • +2

I stopped looking for bargains on eBay. If there is something I need, I just check if it tells me there is a coupon that applies. But aside from that, who can possibly work this out, with countless category-specific coupons applicable at the same time?

  • +2

The deal title is like a mathematical equation. Aligns to the way eBay promotions are done. Thanks OP πŸ˜…

  • +1

Not working correctly for me. $550 item only being reduced by $20 with JANPNA code

    • +1

That's weird, it should be $60 according to their T&Cs. Best to contact their Live Chat.

  • +1

+1 for the use of variables in a post title. First time seeing it πŸ‘

  • Any code for toys?

    • No toys this time, they have preloved fashion instead.

  • +1

I think janplf is pre loved fashion

    • Exactly. Thanks.

  • +1

    Where is the β€œtoys” at?

  • -3

Amazon.com.au for something better than ebay

  • Bought an unused ego battery. In combination with westpac bonuses it came in at ~$111. There's one left if anyone is interested.

    • FYI I don't think that 10% counts with codes

      • Unless he meant the $10 / $75 gift card promo.

        • True

        • I meant both. I can't see anywhere that coupon use invalidates Westpac 10% cashback

          • @justtoreply: Saw it in comments on the 10% deal. Hopefully you're right!

            • @snoopydoop: Doesn't say it anywhere in shopback tho. Not that i can see

              • +1

                @justtoreply:

Cashback via the Westpac Lounge is only eligible on items that already have valid Cashback, meaning that 0% Categories/invalid coupon code& use will not entitle you to Bonus Cashback via the Westpac Lounge.

                No harm in trying though.

                • @ash2000: Yep, I always try anyway - you never know

                • @ash2000: It doesn't say it in the shopback app, where the T&C need to be. I didn't look at the ozb post to find the deal.. I looked in the app.

It probably will get voided but imho that's not the right thing for them to do.

                • +2

@ash2000: Woohoo just got 10% Westpac tracking on all of my purchases.
                  Paid off after all

                  • +1

                    @King Tightarse: Great work!

The OzBargain trifecta, gift cards, coupons, and cashback ……..in one transaction!

    • I take it someone told you to lose the ego? :P

  • +2

Is there a bug? There is supposed to be a 10$ discount for 100$ items but im seeing posts that give a 50$ discount.

    • +2

      Yeah I just bought a $108 rice cooker for $68 :0

      • Wouldve got the Panasonic one too, but happy with much needed 59$ burr based coffee grinder.

Wish there was a code for PC stuff haha

  • Is the party over?

  • +3

Someone will have some explaining to do at eBay. This JANHNG error will be costing then.

    • +2

I'm having a lot of fun with this one

  • Why wasn't this glitched when I bought something on Thursday :(

  • +7

JANHNG so far deal of the year

  • +2

They're going to have a hard time cancelling this one - I bought a lot of German tools Knipex,Wera and Whia and the seller has all ready provided tracking numbers…

  • Some $50 voucher errors
ALFORDSON 2x Bar Stools Ruel Kitchen Swivel Chair Leather Gas Lift BLACK was $125.95
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/144884014760

NEW Scanpan Impact Saucepan Set 3pce was $116 + postage

  • +1

looks like the party is over

    • Yep, code stopped working just then

      • Oh spewing - I was just cooking up another item to buy

      • Really? Phew, just put in an order at 8:52.

    • +1

Just bought saucepans from Peters Kensington with voucher now

      • Now code doesn't work

      • I did the same thing, all one at a time.

  • +18

For 2.5 hours on a random Saturday evening, JACK was overpowered by JANHNG

    • Game over JANHNG!

    • +5

i wish i only spent 2.5 hours on it… last time i looked up from the computer it was 2pm. Spent my whole afternoon trying to save money on things i didn't actually NEED hahah!

      • This the way

  • Damn, the code still worked in my account and then went to change payment method because wrong card - and they deactivated the code right as I was paying!

  • Code is finally over, nice way to start a new year, way to go eBay πŸ‘

  • +5

    Great while it lasted.
6x$50 = $300 saved for me over two eBay accounts.

    • +2

I got an average of 46% off - best ebay coupon ever.

  • +4

    I saved $200 on shit I didn't need.

    • For curbside collection eventually? ;)
You will certainly make some scavengers happy.

  • +1

I saved $300 between my 3 accounts and bought most of the villeroy and boch crockery which I would never buy at the prices they sell at. Happyyyy

  • Code became invalid during the moment between the 'basket' and 'checkout' screens, and I got the "Unfortunately, this code no longer works. Please continue with your order."
    Continue? You gotta be joking!

  • +1

oh no, check oz late and now the deals was gone.

  • +1

I wonder how many orders went through? I'm guessing this will cost them a few hundred K at least!

  • The stuff I ordered are already on their way with tracking provided.

    • +1

eBay can auto assign a tracking number if you purchase the postage label through them. It doesn't necessarily mean it's on its way.

  • +1

There are over 15000 clicks from the numerous deals posted on here alone. If one third of those took advantage of it for the five uses of the coupon that's well over a million dollars.

How are they going to cancel it? There are too many individual sellers, many of whom have all ready paid for postage so they can't cancel the sales.
Do they try and bill the buyers for an extra $40 per transaction? Good luck with that..

    • eBay isn't cancelling any orders

    • Would love to be a fly on the wall at the eBay Aus offices when they figured out they screwed the pooch. IF they do try and mass cancel orders with that code I suspect a few may still end up slipping through. Or do they just write it off as a somewhat costly mistake?

  • If im ebay ceo i will hire someone to monitor obz every 5 mins to catch things like this lol….

    • Pretty sure Amazon does - any price errors are usually fixed within minutes of posting on here.

      • +3

        That's not how it works.

Amazon would use an algorithm that would identify items selling extremely quickly compared to normal. The system either halts sales or flags an alert for human intervention.

There is no one at amazon paid to monitor ozbargain.

  • Just received a tracking number from a purchase made with the code and it's been handed over to the courier. Obviously not impossible to claw the delivery back, but one step closer to success!

  • +2

Don’t know why someone marked deal β€œExpiredβ€œ. Codes are still working (minus the price errors). I just tried JANHNG on a Dyson V15 from TGG. Same with JANSNE which I tested successfully with several random Air Jordan’s.
