what a (profanity) joke i got charged about $55.00 each

  • +1

Horse shit. Sitting on here for 15 minutes trying the code and bam… OOS

  • +2

Man already had one in cart and constantly pounding the code but still missed out

  • FFS.. Typical Ebay with all the load of crap just to create site traffic…… Got one of the lights though for $19 LOL!

  • What a mess, lol

  • +1

    boycott mobileciti…!!!

  • +2

first time went through $19 but was showing charge full amount even though ebay was showing price $19.
Cancel then went back and showing $19 but OOS.

    • Had exactly the same - $19 at the checkout, but full price on PayPal. Cancel and try to apply the code and pay again - OOS as the payment is processing.

    • same. got charged in full by paypal despite showing $19 at checkout

  • Scam. Only 100 of the listed 500 ended up being available

  • -1

    Got one, thanks Clear! <3

  • Same wake up 5 minutes before deal starts. Code didn't work and suddenly out of stock. What's joak..😡😡😡😡

  • -5

With this many negs is it even worth asking the seller to add 400 more?

    • +3

yeah. I'm pissed too, but it's not your fault, so not sure why people are negging this. It was a real deal, although the 500 units available part looks dodgy, but that's on the seller

    • +7

They need to be reminded they were committed to 500 units.

As for the negs, these are against eBay, not your post.

      • It's a seller mistake. Not eBay

        • Yep, but even so, eBay should be close at hand to ensure sellers commit to their promoted quantities.

          • @ash2000: Haha this is eBay. They had mistakes dozens of times

            • @Clear: Yep! I'm so conditioned to their stuff-ups I don't even get disappointed when I miss out.

Anyway, managed to get one….Thanks for the post!

    • +3

I wouldn't take it personally. I don't think some newer/less frequent users are familiar with the guidelines for voting.

    • +3

Yes please, don't let the cranky Karen's having a tanty ruin it for the rest of us.

      • Hooray! Got one, thank you! I need a nap after all that excitement…

    • +2

You shouldn't have to ask. The ad was for 500 not 100 and 15 minutes late

      • -8

Not my fault the seller set the wrong quantity. So I'll tell the seller that you don't want 400 more added?

    • Don't mind the few negative votes and comments - ungrateful for all the work you've put into the ozbargain community over the years. Appreciate you sorting it out and that I've just managed to get one!

In I.T if we have an issue or system outage an under 30 min down-time would warrant an applause 😆

  • -1

Everyone who scored will get an email cancellation….

  • Got one just now? I just spammed the buy now button.

  • +1

How are people still buying it? I can see the sold numbers go up….

    https://www.ebay.com.au/bin/purchaseHistory?item=37397111303…

    • +1

probably eBays slow 'pending' when you buy before sale is counted as complete. IE not actual checkout time

    • The actual sold amount is shown on the listing.

The table on the purchase history page only updates once the buyers payment has been processed.

  • This deal has been snapped up

  • +1

If u have felt duped and wasted your precious time, waste some more and report this seller.. the only right thing to do!

  • 103 sold from 500 promised…

    • +5

ebay already said on the page it's UNREAL deal

  • +1

Joke deal, code should be BSLIGHT

  • Terrible, refresh the page so many times and suddenly all sold, how is that? Only 10 in stock?

  • +1

    What a shit show

  • +1

    time wasted.

  • -1

    just got one

  • +1

I don't need to add another reason to neg this deal. People have spoken.

  • +3

Report the fraudulent practise of the seller here:

    https://ocswf.ebay.com.au/rti/compose?seller=mobileciti_esto…

    • This. What combination did you pick?

    • Thanks. Just did it.

  • +1

Was in my cart, applied code and when it went to payment it was already oos. Within 1 min? Fake deal.

    • The deal is not fake. Just really tough luck the seller closed it before it reaches the 500 units that was promised.

Link to receipt, got if for $19:

      https://ibb.co/pwRb7SJ

      • I revoke my neg vote as I was able to buy it a few mins ago. The seller closing the deal before it reaches the advertised amount is certainly a dodgy practice!

        • Glad to hear the positive outcome!

  • +1

Publicity stunt for a fake sale, nothing more.

  • Used Apple Pay, worked

  • I had one in my cart and someones nicked it. Who was it?

  • +1

It says 500 units sold in the bottom of the Black Friday page! Yeah right!

  • +1

    Waste of time

  • +9

According to the bottom of the eBay Plus Black Friday Deal

Yeelight LED RGB Lightstrip bundle - 500 units sold

    hahaha

  • -1

Code does not work in app.

  • Very dodgy seller

  • if you look at the purchase history with timestamps it does show some transactions still going through. but it also shows ~85 total sold since the code went live.

    • yeah, just check and there are around 91 now. I guess it's just the time it takes to process the transaction, what a shame if they turn to be less than 500 like we have all been complaining about

  • -2

    Such a waste of time
    Liarrrrrrr

  • -1

Why do we keep allowing such bs on OzB? It's nothing more than a competition.
