  For the home enthusiast the two you have listed are fine but you really cant go past the Fluke meters for industrial use.

  Yeah was thinking the same - is the 179 really worth the 140 over the 175 (temp and back light display) I own both or should say have both through work and never used the temp probe and the backlit I only occasionally use.
