The ‘missions’ thing seems like a good idea, makes the building a bit more fun for kids than just a set of instructions… but not worth the huge premium attached.
Kmart say their standard price is under $30, so RRP on Amazon could be a bit misleading.
I like how you get a good variety of different kinds of pieces, including three or even four minifigures. Great value at this reduced price point. Also I like the fact that the box has a recloseable lid, which means it can be used to store the set better than with a normal Lego box. Don't really like the idea of getting kids to use more devices and not having paper instructions at all. The app could just be something extra in addition to a traditional manual. Also the app could be more intuitive, especially for little ones. I'll definately buy the other two to go with the space set that my five year old already has.
Agree with you 100%; pieces and reusable box are great but the need for a phone sucks.
Theyre not really worth more than $25($30 tops) imo
