Lego Ducati and real Ducati. Both never get ridden š
I dont know much about bikes but do follow motogp and see ducati dominating the past years, do their road bikes just suck?
Their recent road bikes definitely don't suck.. I think the joke nomoneynoproblems is trying to make is that people buy a Ducati to look at or as a status symbol, rather than to actually ride it.
Guilty.
3 years ownership and I'd put on less than 3,000 kms on my Ducati.
Luckily, it's an old one (close to 20 year old) and not worth much.
Edit: Amazon sold out
how many cc is it?
1,100cc at 1/5 scale so around 9cc (if cyclinders are to scale)
It's a very nice looking set, the other Ducati hasn't performed so well but this is a much cleaner design. Tempting
It's a fantastic kit and great fun.
Looking great on display and always fun to rebuild as well.
See my review with full build video.

That's a different Lego model though with less than half as many pieces.
You are right. My bad.
I find it interesting that the RRP for the Ducati Panigale (1603 pieces) is $300, while the BMW M 1000 RR (1920 pieces) released 3 years earlier is $390. I know itās crude, but using the piece count to pro rata the price, the Ducati should have been priced at $325, so itās surprising that itās only $300, especially given that the BMW was released 3 years ago and inflation over that time should have instead increased the price.
I recall that in the mid-2022 Lego price hike the they upped the BMW by about 25%. So I wonder if the lower price for the Ducati is Legoās admission that they got too arrogant with their pricing the past few years.
It's more likely to be the result of more expensive licensing arrangements with BMW versus Ducati. The same is true for any licensed sets that have unusually higher RRPs compared to equivalent sets of similar piece count and complexity. BMW is a far larger conglomerate than Ducati and they know they can command a premium for branded merchandise compared to a far lower volume, exclusively motorcycle-oriented manufacturer like Ducati. BMW 's annual motorcycle production is about 4 times what Ducati's is and the 1000RR is arguably a far better-known/more recognisable sports bike than the Panigale V4.
It's very similar to the difference in the sponsorship royalties offered by major brands to top 10-ranked tennis/soccer/basketball athletes versus a top 50 player that barely gets any TV air time. More customers are going to want a Lego BMW bike because BMW has more brand recognition than Ducati, the same way more people will buy Nike LeBrons versus Giannis shoes because LeBron is the bigger name. It's just marketing 101.
Is it legal to ride it in Australia?
$100 off for the breakage/breakdown cover they one needs for owning a Ducati…
Wish Iād ordered this from Amazon but I was too quick to follow the main link. Amazon always delivers quickly, and Iām certain I would have received it by Saturday at the latest. This is my first online Kmart order. Placed on 13th, got notification on Friday morning that it had shipped. I thought things were looking good, but since then the tracking information from āCouriers Pleaseā has remained āShipping information receivedā, suggesting they havenāt even picked it up from Kmart yet.
Was going to point out it should have single side swingarm, lucky fact checked, 2025 has dual side swingarm.
