Omg that website is horrible. Pretty sure it gave my PC cancer.

  • i just got this version from bunnings for $95 - https://www.bunnings.com.au/bosch-blue-3-6v-cordless-screwdr…

    • Is it Micro-Usb? If so will wait as trying to phase out the house from micro-usb to USB-C

      • You can just use $1 adaptors to convert between the two…

      • Yeah released a few years ago before USB-C was this mainstream.

      • Yes Micro USB Charging port

    • I use this for my work everyday day. Best tool ever, game changer. I recommend buying from Bunnings as they don't last forever, so just take it back and swap it for new one.

  • It said 65.97 for me for the go2.

    • I did the conversion with the actual exchange rate. AUD on the website or letting PayPal do the conversion is incorrect.

If you have a currency conversion free card added to PayPal use that and set the currency to USD at payment to get the current VISA/MasterCard rate.

  • I have both of these, and the Aldi clone as well. I use them a lot.

IMHO, the original Go is the best. I really like the mechanical clutch on the Go 2, but the push button is the absolute worst, it is crazy sensitive and makes the tool frustraing to use. I regret buying it.

My background / use case: Network engineer installing a lot a gear in comms racks. I've just finished the network build for a new hospital, about 50 switches and associated kit. My Go got an absolute flogging over the last couple of weeks, I was charging it of the USB port on 9300 switches during lunch breaks, and it didn't let me down. Outstanding piece of gear - I'm going to buy another from this deal just to have a spare.

As an IT Tech for a number of hospitals I feel your pain rackmounting all those switches. Gotta love USB ports on switches.

Sounds like I'll have to grab one myself.

    • Can you tighten by hand to finish with hand tight or is it just what ever power this can give?

    • how far off is Aldi clone?

It's not bad, from memory closer in operation to the Go 2. TBH I don't use it much, a bunch of us at work bought them after having seen my Go in action. One of our guys used an Aldi on a trip recently, having never seen either of the Bosch, and he loved it. I think mine is now downstairs in the garage somewhere

        • Do they still sell the Aldi one?

You can put the in/out slider switch into it's middle neutral position, and then just tighten (or loosen) by hand.

    • The go has a neutral setting to use like a normal driver if the battery dies

  • I don’t understand, where do you put in the code?

Edit: Hmm also realised if I buy in Australia, even though it’s slightly more expensive, there is also 6 years warranty whereas buying here is 0.

    • You gotta make an account to apply the code, took me a while come up around 61$

      • I’m still trying to decide whether $90 for Go 2 with a power pass at Bunnings would be better to get the 6 year warranty.

Edit: just realised the geek buying link doesn’t come with the bits either whereas buying at Bunnings for $30 more would get you that, plus the warranty, it seems to me a better deal buying at Bunnings.

  • Got a Go 2 from AliExpress for about $30 long time ago. Absolutely no issues. For most daily jobs this tool is more handy than a 18V screw driver.
