I wouldn't touch any processor with that starts with N

Why. Most office laptops just connect to a VM or RDP to a powerful workstation. For high school this is easily powerful enough

      • +7

Lol, can guarantee majority of office laptops don't do that

  • 200 nits is really good right?
Other than that a pretty reasonable deal.

You can bet better Pentium/Celeron options on AliExpress at this price. But Asus comes with good build quality and a free nice features. I'd rather go with a Chinese option just for a better screen

I run an N6005 nuc, Works very well for office / internet / youtube / basic home theatre etc. Previous nuc ran 24/7 for 4 or so yrs and is still going strong.

  • I have a 2012 MacBook bro that is on its way out and need something to replace it to do my life admin. Would this be sufficient enough? Run Chrome for emails, web surfing and video streaming. Saving pdfs, photos and videos from phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    • Yes but it's extremely basic. You can get a much nicer machine for a few hundred more.

    • Your MacBook lasted 10 years! You'd be lucky to match that with a quality Windows laptop, let alone a budget model. I would suggest buying an entry level MacBook if that suits your needs as it will be a much better experience and will probably be cheaper in the long run.

For some tasks like gaming Windows is king, but for your needs I would say stay with the Mac.
