Good deal! Don't think you can get much cheaper and have a viable business.

    • Appreciate your honesty. Thank you.

These questions are exhausting. specs are there, price is there. Move on if you think its not worth it. Its a $500 pc not a luxury car to impress your work colleagues.

    • Couldn't have said it better. Thank you.

i appreciate people like coathanger because he's been excessively polite when there's a bunch of insufferable idiot savants here who cant work out that the price of parts + the license minus the used case already exceeds $500… there case is there just as a placeholder for your parts… piss it off when you find a case you really like

coupled with complete deros who cant google that motherboard and work out if it has the connects they need

hard to earn a buck from these brainded dropkicks

Tony, serious question - would you be comfortable recommending OP's machine to a friend for using with office applications and business data knowing it has a 230W PSU?

This is the comparable BOM - Windows 10 CD keys are $5

          • @Look Up: No way man.

I'd totally spend the time and build the PC myself. I enjoy saving $ on parts, choosing what parts I want, taking the time to build it perfect….

OP has cheaped out on the PSU which is the worse thing to do

Yes I totally get that running a business is hard and that I'm sure the margins aren't much at all. But that is part of the business itself. It shouldn't be a reason for that to kinda bleed into the customer's experience/purchase.

Also OP said they got legit retail keys 😂😂😂😂. That's like $100 off eBay. Legit retail genuine key's aren't cheap and most of them that are cheap are dodgy.

Unless OP has a deal with Microsoft then they totally may just be using the same $5 keys off ebay/scd

            • @[Deactivated]: OEM keys have been a thing for some time, back when I was doing work experience an eternity ago and PC parts were way more expensive than now, the store I was at only paid $30 direct from MS per key.

              • @AEKaBeer: op said they got retail. oem is not the same as retail

              • @AEKaBeer: Yes, that's what many people don't understand. When they walk out of a major retailer with their license what they've really paid for are the salaried employees, rent, utilities, overheads etc Some of these retailers spend $5000 a day just on advertising. By keeping our overheads low we pass on the savings to our customers.

@[Deactivated]: You can use this power calculator which estimates total power draw of around 150w https://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/
It's not necessary to have anything more than the power supply installed and there won't be any difference in performance/experience with another power supply.

However for those who want another power supply, we are happy to install one at their cost.

You are most welcome to contact Microsoft directly to verify that our keys are genuine retail. They are individually installed, unique to your PC and will not deactivate.

              • @coathanger007:

It's not necessary to have anything more than the power supply installed

To give some perspective, there are 10s of thousands Dell PCs running all day with power supplies smaller than this. People are buying them for $300 after they are already 6+ years old. I've never seen anyone say those included power supplies are "cheaped out", even after people put those power supplies under stress by add a graphics card to the PC.

              • @coathanger007: ok great i never said there would be a different experience with another power supply. but that power supply leaves no headroom to upgrade to a better gpu. why not fit a slightly better bronze 500w psu? they aren't expensive. that 230w is prob cheap as chips.

this is just cost cutting to the max.

So you include the offical microsoft original retail box/digital receipt of key with the purchase?

considering you use a refurb case i doubt that you'd fork out $100 on a retail key…

                • @[Deactivated]: Already responded above. If you want to help others build a PC go ahead and post it on ozbargain.

                    @coathanger007: where?

answer the question. you just said legit retail. and if you think printing them a piece of paper with your $5 oem key counts as legit retail then…

                    • @[Deactivated]: Already answered. Put your money where your mouth and put together your own build for ozbargainers with your $150 packaged retail WIndows.

                        @coathanger007: 😂

                        Hey,
nobody said they had used retail windows keys apart from YOU.
also a system ain't brand new unless everything in the system is new.
Can't believe this crap. Care to answer it again/or at least point to the comment where it does?

                        • @[Deactivated]: Read the ad carefully. "Apart from the case this is a brand new system"
It is a retail key and you can call Microsoft to verify.

Now how about you build ozbargainers a system and see what price you come up with.

                          • @coathanger007:

It is a retail key and you can call Microsoft to verify.

I know that - you said that like a billion times.

What's stopping you from just buying a $5 OEM key/ recycling win7/8 OEM keys from old PC's and telling people that you used legit retail. If you really used legit retail that would cost a lot.

Retail is not the same as OEM.

                            • @[Deactivated]: Disagree. This is not OEM, volume license, education license or a recycled Windows 7/8 key. It is retail and you can contact Microsoft to verify.

                              • @coathanger007: hmm. so how have you managed to fit in a $100 retail key in your build.

would rather better psu + case and have windows not activated

                                • @[Deactivated]: Throw everything in and see what ozbargainers think about your price. Have fun :-)

                                  • @coathanger007: no thanks.

there are already way better and cheaper builds above.

        • Thanks for your support Tony and the support of all our customers. Keeps us going despite our tight margins and the ozbargain trolls.

    • +1

      agreed

  • Excellent deal..shame it's only VIC.
Anywhere in WA that can do the same setup?

  • why would you want this for an office PC, god's honest truth

    • Plenty of processing power, ram and storage for an office PC with low power draw.

      • plenny a ram, plenny a storage. don't worry if the components are unreliable. you be right fa few years, yeah?

Is it a QLC SSD? For business use this is batshit crazy.

        • English please? They're brand new which can't get any more reliable especially compared to some of the e-waste that gets advertised on ozbargain.
