sorry but at this price you'd expect nothing less than 9800X3D, this is a significantly slower chip for gaming

    • At this price in a case this size you should also be getting an ATX or EATX motherboard with all the options & twice the connectors.

    • +5

To be fair, it's a pre built unit, when they built it, 9800x3d was not even released. Well, there is better gaming CPU than i9, that's true.

At this price you wouldn't buy a HP gaming desktop….

      List price $9,299 lololol

in your dream, 9800X3D released 2 weeks ago, currently it is $800

    • At 1440p+ the bottleneck in this system will almost always be the 4090.. don’t think anyone buying a 4090 system would game at 1080p and a 9800X3D is still a rip off for an 8 core processor.

      • -1

nobody is talking about 1440p, just you

        • Oh cool… let’s all burn $4K on a 4090 PC to play at 1080p.

          • +1

@Harry Balzac: tbf when asking around for advice on what would be a 1440p system I did get a lot of nasty comments.

apparently if you are part of PCmasterrace then you have to afford and run everything at 4K. anything less and you go live on stream be prepared for the trolls in chat.

This is not a good deal.

At this price, I'd expect nothing less than 5090 32GB

    • +1

      good luck

    • MSRP is set at $1900 that's 3k Aussie dollarydoo's + GST and being in aus means you pay extra so say $3500 for the basic models … it will never drop in price because there is nothing that can compete with it … can't see the rest of the build costing $700 lol

      • bro is allowed to dream, maybe just not post his dreams here.

  • Pffffttttttttt

At this price, I would buy a twin-engine Norton bike to have much more exciting game.

guys it's 45 Litres that's why it costs so much. 😭🤣

45 Litres is a lot. it's probably half a metre wide and 1 metre tall giga PC. it's got 2TB of SSD AND 2TB of HDD you probably need the huge giga PC to fit that in.
also 24 Giga Bonks of Nvidia rang.

A stable chip like the 14900k in an HP. What could possibly go wrong that wouldn't be taken care of by their sterling aftersales support.

Could you imagine trying to explain to the crack-squad HP support team that your CPU is unstable?
