  • They won’t match commercial

    • I did it a couple of weeks ago for a refrigerator from $1200 down to $800

      • Same - i printed out the invoice/order form - and called the store, they said no issues….

    • I second this, they do not match commercial price and they have no benefit from doing so.

      OP you just got lucky

    • Depends on which shop or staff. I have price matched before no issues.

      • And product. It's pretty much a lucky dip.

  • Anyone had any experience with Solt products? Are they a good brand?

I have the 6kg front loader, got for $399, it’s great so far, pretty quiet

  • I'm about to transition back to the top-loader washing machine as I've had too many damaged products from my front-load washing machines. Torn jackets, torn long sleeve shirts, and recently brand-new torn sheets. It's not a mechanical fault per se, the clothes just end up getting twisted too far.

    • Putting delicates into a laundry bag should help.

      Never happened to me.
What is your sheet made of?
Always wash as per care label.

    • I recently switched to a front-loader after a lifetime of top-loaders and I kind of agree with you.

I haven't had anything damaged, but clothes definitely get more twisted when common knowledge is that they are supposedly more gentle. Plus the supposed 8kg capacity in the front-loader seems like about the same as the capacity than my old 6.5kg top-loader.

I get more reasonable results with very light loads on minimum spin cycle (400rpm) but that combined with the long cycle times means you'll spend way more time to do laundry, and they take longer to dry.
