Was doing a check for other ISP’s as I was curious, and damn AussieBB pricing(can get 1000/50 for not much more than what I’m paying with Telstra) makes it enticing to switch… pretty much the staff discount is making me stay

  • +20

these prices are shit, just like telstra

  • +1

no new modem for existing telstra customer. Thanks for the loyalty telstra

    • +2

ISP modems are garbage, never use them.

  • +1

    $20 too much.

  • +5

No idea why you would be with Telstra anymore, overpriced.. zero access to phone support and live-chat support is basically as hopeless as they come.

Superloop/Aussie BB ect.. are all cheaper with far better service..

do you have 4 g backup if your nbn is dead ?

      • +2

If you have good quality NBN (ie FttP) then this isn't really a consideration. My uptime since I got a fibre connection has easily been 99.99% and a 4g modem would never have seen any more than a couple minutes work in that time.

      • +7

        Yeah it’s called your phone

  • +1

    Overpriced nbn
I would only sign up if it was the $1 for 1 month or $2 for 2 months plus bonus Telstra points

  • Telstra is never a good deal for NBN

  • Not even a good deal, and you have to be with a cursed ISP and a cursed modem.

  • +4

I’ve seen sockpuppeting efforts better than this

  • +1

Superloop is cheaper by at least $10 on all those mentioned plans.

Plus you can get $20 off your first month.

  • please dont laught too much. I've got nbn 100/20 paying $110pm. I need to move. I was on a cheaper price $90pm until they backdoored me recently.
What are my options fellow oznbn people? Aussie broadband? superloop? please dont delete my ozbargain membership. I used to be on HFC and currently connected via fttc i think.

    • +1

i got shoved off hfc too, (profanity) telstra, go try superloop 50/20 for 53.95 for a month and see what you think

      • saw this on superloop:
your address can be upgraded to Fibre-to-the-home from 12 June 2022.

Choose your new high speed nbn™ plan below. We'll immediately transfer your internet service to Superloop and upgrade your connection to Fibre-to-the-home for FREE asap.
Is it worth paying 99.95pm 250/25 to get this deal then possbly go elswhere?
        Need 100

You should also look at More if you have a cba card.

I'm on a 24M deal, but these rates at 30% off (12M) are very decent. Service has been great since I moved from Telstra in May. No issues with internet or speed. It's been very solid. Check comments for OzB's experiences

Telstra = Absolute bottom of the barrel.

Aussie Broadband or Superloop all the way.

  • +2

Telstra NBN! Ah thanks, I needed a good laugh today.

  • +1

Their customer service is pathetic. It took them 6 months to get an issue resolved when porting my phone number to them.

  • +1

I'm getting 250/20 fttp nbn with TPG for $84.99 per month, and my actual download speed is 270mbps on speedtest

  • Their customer service is a joke, stay away from Hellstra.

  • +2

Unlimited nbn 50/20 $85/Month - what sort of deal is that

    • +3

      It is an anti-deal.

  • +1

    250/25 $110/Month

I'm paying $83.30 for this currently, and that is for 12 months, not 6.

    • Obviously you are getting More bang for buck..

  • +3

Shit price, shit customer service, shit app, shit company in general.

    Do not buy.

    • Among many other issues with Telstra, I've been waiting since May for their support to sort out issues with the Telstra Market / Rewards offers….

Had way too many issues with Telstra support, it's beyond a joke.

Finally took my internet service elsewhere this year & mobile will be going too, as soon as I run out of prepaid vouchers… 🤦‍♂️
