      … and it's gone!

  • Not sure if it’s still active or was a pricing error, but I picked one up last week for $350 from The Good Guys Commercial.

Pretty happy with it so far

    • Was that the same "Breville Smart Dry Plus Connect Dehumidifier LAD308WHT2IAN1" model? I checked a week or so ago & they only had the non-"Connect" models. Just checked again now & even those aren't listed anymore! :(

      • It was the LAD308WHT. Comes with the wifi functionality and all.

I just checked the commercial site again and it seems to be in stock for me but without ‘connect’ in the name for $348. Is this the same one?

    • +1

I think I made the same mistake. The difference is the one listed here is the 'Plus'. Either way I have an older version without the connect and it does it's job well. Been using it for 2 months and loving it.

    • I ordered a different Breville model through Good Guys commercial too. It took over four months to arrive. Great when I eventually got it though.

    • Still works well in Sydney's cooler climate?

      • +1

Works better in a warmer room, but still does a decent job. There’s another by Breville on The Good Guys that’s got “all climate” in the name which could work better.

  • I purchase the non-connect model over two years ago for $309 and it has been great. Hasn’t skipped a beat

what's the general upkeep on them, how often do you need to replace the filters? what's the avg electricity cost? i currently use damp rid to dehumidify the place assume this would pull more moisture from the air.

Is this a dessicant or compressor dehumidifier? Strange it's not specified.

    • +1

Compressor. From ApplianceOnline, I opened the manual for this dehumidifier and searched for "compressor". Found this:

Similar to a refrigerator noise, the compressor will turn off and on during operation.

Agree, they should make it clearer in the description

  • Breville Cli-Mate Dehumidification System Dehumidification System, White, CLI-DH20-E

Had the above, good value, but this newer one has all the WiFi bells and whistles. 3.5L is a decent tank also

Lol buy the solution, get the problem for free

    • oh boo i was so excited I got a Smart Dry Connect and it fits into these dates.. but.. not part of the promotion :(

  • Does anyone know if there is any functional or feature difference between the LAD308 and LAD208 - besides capacity and size? Like is one an upgrade of another?
