Netflix and Widevine L1 Issues

The tablet has Widevine L1 DRM for Netflix HD and may you need to follow these instructions to make the preinstalled app work. Otherwise installing the latest version of Netflix ontop may work too.

          So some CPUs in tablets can’t run x265 HEVC VIDEOS. Which are majority of torrents/downloads/similar. It’s a file format.

          I download small file size, decent quality files (thanks for x265 being efficient).

          Google it - I suck at explaining! X265, x264 etc

            @Bisah1342: My issue is that everything on my NAS are large, 4k rips with HD/Atmos audio, and I'd rather not have to set up transcoding or have duplicates for a single device that doesn't play them.

            Had I known the P11 didn't have x265 support before buying, I wouldn't have bought it. At the time there was limited info out, and i figured given the Snapdragon 660 and 665 support it, the 662 would too. I was wrong.

              @witheredcouch: Yep by chance I bought the right p11. Was debating on getting the p11, but wanted Oled. Thank god I was right !!!

                @Bisah1342: I specifically bought the P11 over the pro because I didn't want the Pentile Oled, as I have found similar size pentile displays pretty rough in the past. But I didn't think x265 would be a concern, otherwise i would have gone for the plus first time around.

              @Hornpub: It’s a bit blurry text wise, but, honestly, from a. Distance and my use case, not horrific.

              This is coming from me using LG Oled TVs and iPhones so I’m used to super crispy…

    maybe helpful to share my experience. Bought this last month. Great tablet for the price. But the netflix instruction no longer works. Even after changing country code to Australia the preloaded netflix app simply refused to work. Tried disney+ and prime, both can display in FHD.

      Preloaded netflix app has never worked afaik. You need to install a new version.

    Does anyone know if this supports streaming bluetooth audio to two bluetooth headphones simultaneously?
    Just want to know before i bite the bullet on the samsung tab s7

    The mrs and i watch shows together on the airplane and its a good feature to have without having to worry about bring two sets of wired headphones and a splitter

    Which one is better to play games on? For example Genshin Impact.

      There's a table comparing the two in the deal. This is better due to the CPU and GPU bump.
