    Thanks OP got a Chromecast with Google TV.
    Have previously received their sms but have blocked them and now that I checked, haven't received this specific one.
    However, it worked!
    Did use the phone app logged in to my existing account, incase that helps someone.

    What do you use the nest hub for?

    I got one with the Telstra points and use it to turn off the lamp while in bed but can't see any other useful reasons to have one.

    Whereas nest mesh points will work better for me to add smart functions, speakers and better internet to a room

      Mine is a glorified kitchen timer. I'm sure there's more useful stuff you can do with it but no idea what that is.

      It's awesome. Controls my Google TV (voice media controls incl. turn on and turn off tv), plays YouTube, YouTube music, Netflix, and more, slideshow features are brilliant, screen reacts to ambient light and color corrects, web results / answers to questions are shown on the screen, recipes are nicely formatted, more here

      I'm sure there's better things to do with it but mine is mostly used for youtube while I'm making dinner, and bribing children with the wiggles on youtube music while we're eating dinner. Both these apps are quick to access from the media section - It would be nice if we could add our preferred media apps on there or at least have our youtube subscriptions instead of their awful recommendations

    Had a bad experience with MyDeal recently, ordered a Nest Hub on 17 July and it's only just arrived today. Item had been in stock for a while yet they still wouldn't ship my order even after calling and emailing them a few times. Eventually had to submit a PayPal INR claim and funnily enough they shipped it immediately after.

    Also, just out of curiosity, if the deal is $20 off $60+ purchase, would that make the Google TV $40 (instead of $58) if you added at least a $2.01 purchase to the order?

    My guess is that they are separate deals, otherwise that would make the Google TV less than half the usual price.

          No, I was serious, I have no idea if there is more than one model.

          I'm just as curious as you.

          But it makes sense that there would be more than one model, to comply with laws in various countries.

          In which case, this could be a grey import, because not quoting the model version is what a lot of grey importers do.
