Both black and white HPM 4-way powerboards are each on sale for $4.18, which also seems like a good price.

Legit bought two of these at full price 2 days ago!?!!
Think they will give a $1.50 store credit?

    • just ask, most likely yes

      • +2

Nah not with Amazon. You can return them and get a refund though. That's what they told me. Crazy.

        • +4

If you choose 'Better price available' as the return reason, it will deduct the return postage cost from your refund however.

They’ve always refunded me the difference (even more as they round up). Just ask, could take the next agent

        • I just buy at the new price then return the new ones in place of the older ones.

  • Recently bought one of these and really like the form factor compared to the left or right sided ones.

And the Worst Product Photo Award™ goes to…

  • Anyone know a decent non-surge protected power board with 8 outlets? Can only find 6 from HPM.

    • Idk about 8 outlets.

Side question, other than cost, what's the use case of using non-surge power board
Wouldn't surge protected powerboard will give a slight peace of mind? (Though it dependant on how the Joule)

      • It’s plugging into a surge protector. As I understand it, it’s no good to have a surge protector plugged into a surge protector.

        • Don't think it matters. Most consumer surge protection systems are fairly crappy.
Worst that will happen is during a surge both devices will be consumed.

    • Does it absolutely have to be non-surge?

      Here's a 8 outlet HPM board for $21.04.

      • Yeah, I think so.

It’s plugging into a surge protector. As I understand it, it’s no good to have a surge protector plugged into a surge protector.

        Thanks for that, though.

        • Ah fair enough. Might be hard pressed to find one at a decent price, given low demand for non-surge boards. Only ones I found on my search journey were for communications / IT and were rack-mountable, like this one

    • just buy a bigger surge protector board? theres a 12 outlet at bunnings rated for 525 joules, the black is rated higher than the white for the same price.

      • Forgot to mention, original surge protector board is also a UPS. I’ve thought of the options. Need a bigger non surge protected board.

  • got the coles ones at <$1 each pre covid. i still have 5 of them going strong at home. this is not a bad price today as prices in coles have increases for these since then.

    • now its $2.50 in coles

  • Going to cut my electricity bill to half

  • What does "country of origin Australia" mean?

    Australian made?

    • It means that they were originally made in Australia. /s

      • They probably were, 30 years ago.

    • +3

      I don't think so. Doc

5 Year Warranty Made In China

I think it's (another) listing error by Amazon. A similar HPM model says China for country of Origin.

  • OOS?? Unable to put in an order??

    Says cart is empty

  • Won't add to cart?

  • No more stock

  • Left in my cart then got sidetracked & now OOS :(

  • Is this safe for my grow house in my investment property?

    • +1

Yes as long as you line the walls with Foil

  • For me HPM branded electrical stuff like power points, switches, covers, adapters and power bnoards always seem to go yellow and crack. Other brands never seem to and stay fairly much white like they should. No idea why?

    • I use a lot of HPM power boards and plugs and they don't go yellow or crack for me. I feel they're better-made than the cheapies like Arlec and Click. They're a huge brand now owned by Legrand who make more premium electrical fittings.

  • These are much better than the arlec ones. I bought like 6 arlec at different times from different retailers and the top plug always just falls out from the double adapter. These HPM ones have been solid though.
