    Nothing for the Soffitel.

I want to stay there in July :(

  • Just what Ive been waiting for, thanks.

Is it possible to predict the prices now?

Is it "Best Unrestricted Rate" / 2 or "Hot deals - no change, no cancellation - see conditions" /2 ?

  • I've had a look at some locations for various things and struggling to find anything at 50% off… thankfully I had nothing serious planned…

Try again on the 12th of June 2012

      • ahhh that would explain it :p

  • It is usually 50% off best unrestricted rate.

  • Ah awesome, the dates fall within the third anniversary :-)

    • The Singapore Scoot flights covered that for me, it has been a good run with travel on OZB this year!

  • thanks OP, got my platinum membership from ozb as well for free (without have to stay at any accor hotel), cant wait til Tuesday, need to book in Bangkok and Bali :D

NB: Keep in mind, rates quoted on the www.accorhotels.com (where you have to book) link appear to have a 300% mark-up than those on direct on the hotel website.
40-55% off the inflated rate still higher than booking direct on the hotel website.

    • from my research on the hotel that i want to book, the price is the same from the link you provided, accorclub website, hotelclub website and the hotel website itself

    • You're off your nut mate, as 996839 said the rates I'm looking at are exactly the same.

        Caption Obvious
You are right. Sorry, the price quoted in the bold letters is rate x nights. I am an idiot!

        • yes you are… :Peace: hihi

        • All good :-). I can understand the mistake.

How can www.accorhotels.com have 300% mark-up than direct on the hotel website, when the said hotel websites just routes you back to the www.accorhotel.com booking engine?
Every single Accor branded hotel's website runs off the same booking facility, so it's impossible for there to be any price difference!

And also on that note, most third-party booking websites have the same rates as that shown on www.accorhotels.com as they source the details from Accor directly. Hence why you would find discount coupon codes won't work on any Accor branded hotels, except in cases where someone has stuffed something up.

If you don't believe me, prove me wrong.

  • The best unrestricted rate for one of the hotels I want to stay at has risen by $200 for 6 nights. Not cool accor! The other ones havent changed.

Woohoo! Its STARTED! Just booked 3 nights at a Pullman at the 50% off rate. Im stoked.

    • Only showing as 40% off for me, I have logged in

Edit: can that, other hotels are 50% sweet!

Edit2: Have booked 12 Pullman nights and 2 M Gallery nights. Thanks OP and nortyjak for letting us know it had started.

Disappointed that the Novotel Nathan Road Hong Kong is only offering "40% off" which isn't really 40% off so I'll have to find accommodation elsewhere.

Somebody PLEEEEASE give me a positive vote………..

    • Only if u pos vote this deal lol

  • scratches head I don't get it, it's not working for me. Is there something else I'm supposed to be doing?

EDIT: whoops, didn't realise it was all local time for the hotel, I thought they all went on sale at the same time. My bad :-)

  • This is bullshit - they clearly state the 'Mercure Mandurah' as being part of the deal, which they've re-branded as the Sebel Mandurah, and are offering no discount whatsoever on that hotel. They only have one property there and even some of the pages for the site of that hotel still list it as the 'Mercure Mandurah'.

Positive revoked, wish I could neg for being deceptive.

    • Alright crises averted, I contacted them and they made good. Quite pleased now :-)

  • Ha! I found quite a few hotels that has upped their rates by about 40-60%!
One hotel I was looking at had nightly rates of about $42 + tax last night, now it's $69 + tax! Funny thing is, this hotel isn't even in the participating list!

    • Haha get this! I emailed a complaint to the GM of one of the offending hotels, and received back a reply.

This part of his comment caught my attention! They are pretty much admitting to raising prices, without actually saying they are raising the prices.

"For the while, we changed our price today to participate our Super sales.
And you checked our selling price during this changing period."

  • Did accor charge you guys in local currency or AUD?

All through the booking site it said THB but according to 28 degrees they charged me in AUD.

    • All my foreign transactions to date just show up in AUD on the 28 degrees statement.

FYI - I worked out I got an Xchange rate of 29.96 THB on 12/06

Edit: Damn - The Mastercard rate for that day was 31.069. I thought 28 converted at MC rate???? Think a phone call is in order :(

      • Let me know what they say. It appears as if you don't see what currency they charge you in until you get your statement not online.

I just phoned accor, they say they charged me in THB. 28 Degrees says its AUD so I guess Ill have to wait and see what the statement says.

Im inclined to believe 28 Degrees as I made 3 bookings in Thailand.. 2 at the Pullman King power Bangkok were charged at 29.96 and the third at MGallery Patong was charged at 31.06. All bookings where made within an hour of each other.

        • Yeah got off the phone…she thinks accor did the exchange rate themselves as doesn't show THB currency on 28 system. I said this would be first time in XX number of stays with this same hotel which has always charged in THB including previous. Supervisor put it down to possible glitch and said she would reimburse $10 on card.

555 - I booked the Pullman KP as well.

You are right, online statement won't show foreign currency but printed statement will.

        • Thanks for letting me know, I'll wait for my statement to see what happened but I think I might just cop it.

  • this is the second time when i book an accor hotel through their 50% le club discount that it only posts 40% - what a con.
