  • How big are these ? The dimensions of the mask?

  • +10

    3D with big cache

  • -8

Processors wasn't a good commodity during COVID, so they branched into mask making. Reminds me of the merchandise they would use to send to retailers haha.

  • -1

Can be worn comfortably for up to 24 hours continuously* red flag.

A mask wet with exhaled moisture has increased resistance to airflow, is less efficient at filtering bacteria and has increased venting. Current recommendations are that a new mask should be changed when wet, becomes heavily solid or over a period of 3-4 hours maximum.

    • +10

That maybe the recommendation in general for masks, but as it states in the recommendation that you posted only if it becomes wet or heavily solid, otherwise keep wearing them. I've used these masks and they're fantastic. I work in disability health care and these are my favorite masks that management has recently started buying. They provide excellent coverage around your face. They fit like a scuba divers mask, it's almost a perfect seal and your breathing goes straight through the mask, not around the sides like with the standard disposable blue surgeons mask. As the comment states, it's "up to 24 hours" assuming the mask is still in good condition and working properly.
I'm guessing you haven't used the mask as I think your opinion would change if you used it.

        Great review, ta!

      • +2

I'm not at all sure that these seal as well as some of the more expensive N95/P2 masks out there - but I agree that they are heaps better than the 'normal' blue paper masks.

Good fit and comfortable for extended wear.

As a compromise over serious medical-grade masks, I think that these are in the sweet spot.

    • +2

Nanotech is different from melt blown masks. It's why it feels plasticky. The latter is ineffective with moisture as you say

Beware the earloop ones rarely gives you a good seal. Whilst they felt snug they failed a fit test for me. The headband version is much better if you work in a high risk environment

      • True. I've got some of the headband version - which is what is advisable when you're working in a high risk environment.

My (limited) experience was that the AMD P2 headband version was disturbingly tight - other versions (eg. Trident) don't feel like that yet have a nice seal.

        • +2

Yes i sometimes get claustrophobic with AMD headband.. 3M Aura is more comfortable but slips more. For earloop models the PPEtech ones were quite good for snugness vs comfort. This and respaguard were the only earloop ones that passed fit test for me. Quite a steal when it was on sale for $1ea

Detmod ie. Govt issued ones D95s were absolutely useless with a gaping hole on top

  • +3

Looks the exact same as this one?
    https://www.aussiepharmadirect.com.au/products/amd-p2-respir…
With the code it comes to $10 cheaper

  • +1

Yeah I have been buying these, they're great, but this is the normal price. Definitely recommend though!

    • +22

Yup, but also don't go to the hospital when you get sick, let your immune system fight it all off.

        • +6

Thanks for your valuable contribution from the esteemed dailymail.

So, back to the matter at hand, and just to be clear, you won't go to the hospital when you get sick with Covid, will you?

        • +4

What a stupid post. The children are being admitted as they are all being exposed to a virus for the first time all at once. But otherwise they would have been admitted at different times for coming in contact with the same virus. They are NOT exercising their body…they are being infected with viruses.

          Learn to use your brain….

    • +6

Only if you stop breathing to exercise your anaerobic metabolism first

    • 🚩 Klaus Schwab pfp. You literally didn't need to say anything.

  • I've purchased these previously and they are really big. It leaves a gap under my chin. Not recommended for people with smaller faces.

    • You can choose the EP24 design which is better for smaller faces.

  • Weird brand.

  • -1

No one ever got fired for buying Intel

  • Bought 1 thanks for sharing.

  • I have a box from a different deal/seller but in general if you are patient waiting for a clearance and don't mind other masks or types, you can do way better than almost $2 a mask.

Sometimes it's Bunnings, sometimes it's Sydney Tools. I've bought all my N95s over the last year at less than $1.40/pc.

I don't mind using these for work so not knocking the product, but they're on the pricier side I've paid for sure.

    • I buy KF94’s direct from Korea for $1.00-$1.10 apiece. Superb quality.

    • +1

When it comes to these you should probably not just wear any old one you find. You should find the one that seals the best for your face shape and stick to itml.

  • I find the straps a bit thin and start hurting my ears with these masks

    • I found they have updated them since my first purchase. The newer ones have the darker AMD printing as can be seen in the link. The ear loops are slightly thicker. Also the side towards the face is smoother.

  • +1

i will stick to bunning mask 80 cents (40 cents before inflation) lol

  • -1

These can be had for $70-$80 easily.

    • +2

      From where?

        1. Says he knows where its cheaper

        2. Refuses to elaborate

        3. Seriously man, we want the deal!

    • +1

      Post a deal please

  • +2

I misread earloop for eneloop. Yea. I don’t spend too much time on here…

  • -4

Quite useless now but anyway good price

    • Why?

      • Prob meant quite useless as due to mandates being lifted or to be lifted in a few months. In Vic the madate will lift in mid October

        • So these masks don't work anymore?

          • @belongsinforums: They'll work, just annoying to buy on a low income, considering these are the ones that actually protect others from your germs

            • @Jonathankira: They protect you from others germs too

              • @Boioioioi: after hearing the story below, prob would order some now XD
Been using those shitty ones :(

                • @Jonathankira: Shitty ones are still better than nothing. The cloth ones seem to be the real useless ones. I agree, these are expensive to use daily

    • Because it is useful when the carrier of the covid wear it.

  • Is it Zen 4?

    • Nah it is actually Zen 5 as in asian cultures means death.

  • +1

these are quite comfortable but feel newspaper quality though

    • Yep. Hence why they are not actually n95. It's a false claim

  • +8

these are great. i've been wearing them at work for the past year and a bit, and i feel they protect very well and very comfy.

i've been exposed MANY multiple times point blank range (we're talking less than a metre), face to face with non mask wearing people coughing who were covid positive (including my boss, a covid denier who will still come in when sick until forced to take a RAT test - he's tested positive right on the spot after consulting the entire morning maskless….).

    so far thankfully, still okay.

    source: im an optometrist.

    • +2

Now that's fcked, i too would prob be double masking if i were in your work place dayum…. Mask up with that shield one XD

    • -1

      I'm a dentist, use Oral-B!

  • -1

    I don't think these are N95

    • That might be why they're certified as P2, which is equivalent.

  • +1

I have these. They feel a bit "plasticy" and yet they are very comfy, seal very well, and pack flat. They also sit lower on the face than most and are the only ones I've found that don't fog up goggles/glasses.

  • +1

I saw Eneloop, and now I wonder how EarLoop didn't become the ozbargain "catch-word" when masks were in short supply….

    • you're not the only one :)

  • +1

    Code doesn't work for me

    • -5

Save your money man, save your money.

      • -3

Yeah i figured as much, love how they get triggered!! haha

        • +2

The downvote isn't really a trigger it's more like a fly swat or ignore button.

          • @Bedgrub: looks like you are overdue for your booster hahahahaha

            • +2

@sammyla: You are the triggered one making nonsensical comments on every Covid related deal.

You're not changing minds or able to present any information to back your points of view. You're just acting overly emotional.

              Maybe keep scrolling next time.

              • -2

@ihfree: oh here is another mask wearing booster taking individual who does what news media tells them to do. anyway im not even triggered you loat are though hahahaha when you gain the ability to think for yourself(not the experts) lets talk. till then happy boosting.

                • +1

                  @sammyla: That's a lot of assumptions.

Post evidence to back your point of view otherwise we're just dealing with feelings.

Are you drunk? Plenty of missing punctuation and spelling mistakes.

                  • @ihfree: hahahaha who cares about spelling mistakes, you get the gist.my assumptions are 100% accurate and you know it. not going to post anything to convnce you because you cant think for yourself, too brainwashed to even realize there is something not right about the jab taking and disruptions across the world. just keep taking your shots till yu drop.

                    • +1

@sammyla: Not really. You just seem to be getting more emotional while not saying anything. You're largely attacking me based on assumptions.

                      • @ihfree: ok my assumptions are wrong, you are not vaccinated you are a threat to all the humans, you don't wear mask how dare you?cow farts cause climate change yes?

                        • +1

@sammyla: Please provide backing for your point of view. If you can't, don't bother replying.

There's not much to be gained from the hysterical.

                          • -1

@ihfree: Hahaha so that means my assumptions were 100% accurate, whats the point of me providing sources for you to read you would dismiss the facts over lies.well i hope you wake up and realize whats really happening.

                            • +1

@sammyla: Another emotional response full of assumptions.

Do you really doubt your intelligence to the point that you're afraid to put your views out there, even with the relative anonymity Ozbargain providers?

Go on, just post your sources and your interpretation - maybe they will even be beneficial to someone else. You must be aware that you're on an online forum with users other than myself.

                              • @ihfree: lol so lot of assumptions here, you think people are emotional when they call you out for being a hypochondriac ?people who think they are intelligent are the dumbest really.i didn't even talk about how intelligent you are but you definitely lack common sense.

                                • @sammyla: Once again, I haven't put a point of view forward. I have only stated that you haven't backed your points.
Every reply of yours demonstrates a severe lack of reading comprehension. Either that, or overly emotional blocking proper thought.

                                  • @ihfree: back what points? you do watch MSM news yes? look at what CHO of VIC said.opening doors is as good as vaccine boosting to control the spread, now i know you got conned in to taking 4 jabs but hey its ok people do get fooled sometime. dont get fooled next time for covid theater hahahaah. how does it it feel now that you have taken 4 jabs and wear a mask but all you had to do was breathing fresh air hahahhahah

im not emotional i laugh at people like you and im so glad im not one of you!!

                • @sammyla:

gain the ability to think for yourself (not the experts)

                  good one
