I had one of the cashiers stand there and do this to me a few months back (not a screenshot but they thought the price was too low) . I just refused to pay and they had to call the helpdesk. It got sorted out.

When you fuel lock, what's the process when you go to buy the fuel? I've always been nervous I'll get called out for it by the servo person
Just get them to scan the barcode. They should be fine. Sometimes they ask you how you managed it

3) hold your phone out with barcode ready
4) they either scan straight away or make you scan yourself
5) ensure discount applied and pay

- people scan barcodes all the time for the loyalty reward
- if not accepted or doesn't work the 7eleven app support are actually fantastic and will send you a gift card of the difference if there was some issue scanning

No, 7eleven will block your account if you report any issue to using fake located price locker. They will just say fraud. All my old 7 eleven account been blocked.
However I did charge back by my Amex credit card LOL~
I've gotten 4 or 5 gift cards from them no issues when issues have occurred with scanning
@lanjiao: I was been promised by their customer care will send me the gift also send me email confirm, but after one week my accounts been blocked. Maybe because the locked price was an price error party. However their email enough for me to apply credit card charge back.

It's not a vulnerability. It's basically Apple's privacy guidelines. They won't allow developers to see if mock locations are being used.

This particular lock is quite a big price difference from the normal price for petrol, just hoping there's no effort by 7.11 to block anyone trying to use it in the next 7 days given they've now blocked the fuel lock function on the app. Probably just being paranoid.

Well technically if anyone drives up to that fuel station you'll be able to pump for the price. Petrol Spy is still reporting the price.

Petrolspy can take anywhere from 10 min to (rarely) 2 hours to update. They are not required to honor the reported price from PS as they are not directly advertising it there.
