I know new model is expected to be released soon, but seems a good price for those new to the Mac. Don't forget you can use your own display, keyboard and mouse.

Just putting it out there that this one has a DVD drive where the replacement does not, might be handy for a HTPC
No, the spec heading of 2.3GHZ I5 excludes this possibility.
The last spec to have the optical drive had Core 2 Duo (2.4 or 2.66) CPUs
If running Windows, will any USB tuner work?
Yes, pretty much any tv tuner that is compatible with the version of windows you install via boot camp.
Can it play Diablo III?
Can it play Crysis?
Will it blend?

was just about to write the very same. Bought one a little while back not knowing they dropped the CD player. Made it a no deal for my application, so had to return.
Correct, a common fault on many listings.
I plan to use an external USB Blu Ray player, so I can get around region restriction issues.

As for having to use ""all" Apple gear" - no, you can choose whatever monitor, keyboard and mouse you so desire. In fact many people (Apple zealots included) dislike the magic mouse and always use non Apple mice.
yeah.. non apple mouse rocks!!! I bet you some ppl will use Microsoft mouse on Macs. So what?
