  • This deal looks quite familiar….

  • +1

    Only 1080p resolution?

    • I have 1080 on a 35" and it's more than fine.

      • but is it clear?

  • +2

Maybe update the title and/or body to reflect that ALDI only deliver to postcodes in NSW, VIC, and QLD?

    • Done thanks

    …. bread, milk, All-in-One-PC ….

    • Costco ask to hold its beer.

      Bread, milk, tires and casket.

    3500 is oooooold.

  • Spend and extra $100 in store at Officeworks and get this deal instead. At least you get a Ryzen 5500 Hexa-core CPU,that is current, and not from 2017/18.

An extra $150, plus keyboard and mouse.

Hardly a reason to neg the OP.

    • For an extra $150, 20%, you are getting a 46% improvement in CPU performance between a Ryzen 5 3500u in this deal, vs the Ryzen 5 5500u in the Officeworks deal I posted.

      https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/AMD-Ryzen-5-3500U-vs-AM…

      3500u scores 7092

      5500u scores 13923

People really need to do their research! Is that an enough of a reason to neg for you?

      • +3

        Not really.

Not everyone needs the CPU upgrade. I am sure plenty would be happy with the 3500u, for a saving of $150.

Plus the keyboard and mouse of course.

Oh! …. and it doesn't seem to fit any of the voting guidelines for negs. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines

And the Officeworks deal is only available to a small handful of stores.

I think you need to read more of the guidelines, so that you don't try and contort it to your narrative.

          • +1

@shellshocked: I'm always willing to learn.

Which part of the guidelines am I contorting?

Alternatively, which part of the guidelines support your (in my opinion) invalid negative vote?

            • -1

@jackspratt: We'll you first sentence is a contradiction.

If you are willing to learn, you would already know that a 46% improvement in CPU performance for not much more is a significant benefit to the long term use of a PC. The 5500u also has a better IGPU for graphical tasks vs the 3500u. In general consumer wants something that will last them 3 to 5 years. Why invest in a product with a CPU from 2018 when they can spend a little more and get a current gen, 2021/2022 product that will be supported by the largest OEM of PCs worldwide.
