    Bizarre.

  • Thanks op, will give it a go

The manufacturer ran out of plastic half way through pouring the mould. Then he found a plastic bag. "She'll do".

    • I like that.

Why do Mitre10 need to advertise themselves as "The other hardware store", isnt that really self depreciative?

Also, $10 shipping at mitre10, $15 for home depot.

    • Yes, it has distinct tax advantages

    • No. It's challenger marketing.

Avis's tag line: We try harder. [Brilliant.]

Home Depot? You mean home hardware? This isn't yankville

Last time there was a sale at mitre 10 they were happy to ship stock around for C+C. You'll just have to wait til the next truck comes to restock.

Edit: nevermind, i just checked and it's showing as unavailable for C+C for me too, In vic.

    • Picked up a couple at Chelsea Heights!

I have this and I hate it. the water pours out of the spout like a tap unless its on the perfect angle/fill.

"Stock usually arriving within 2-5 business days, when not delayed by high demand." Lol what sort of stock check status is this..

I just use an old 2lt soft drink bottle for those quick watering jobs. Admittedly it is a but of a pain when trying to gently 'sprinkle' water on newly planted seeds without creating trenches from the heavy pour but otherwise for me a good alternative.

    • +5

You can put holes on the plastic lid using a small nail. So you get water coming out as a gentle sprinkle instead of a huge pour.

Search eBay or Aliexpress for “bottle watering nozel”. Found this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/324894348401

  • Brilliant, bought 2 as I suspect for that price reduction they likely leak or don't work. Good Find OP.

  • Cheers, OP. Grabbed two.

      • Rang Mitre10 said should be in t'morrow , so we live in hope.

        • I received a customer satisfaction survey for the purchase from Mitre 10, I replied back with "I cant do this survey as I haven't received any emails to click and collect"

A generic reply came back with
