Are you sure the blu ray player has to be $99 or more?
If not they have this one for $79.

Thanks just updated title
Congrats on the 500th post - maybe it should be oz bargrin.
saw it today when in JB. They had a $79 soniq blu ray player, so will probably get that along with lord of the rings box set, star wars box set, harry potter box set. die hard box set.
Yes HOLLY crap.
That holly must be painful.
as painful as looking at the Capitals
+1 for your 500th post
wow….$99, still remember when it first came out. blue ray players cost like $5xx
I remember when it was cheaper to buy a $1000 PS3 instead of a dedicated bluray player.
And that's exactly what I did.
Definitely +1 for 500 post.
Great bargain if you plan on buying a bunch of Blurays (especially box-sets), though price it up against amazon UK for a real overview of the saving.
What's the JB refund policy like?
good thinking
No it's not. It's extremely unethical and shame on you for treating Australian businesses like that.
Treating a particular Australian business the way they treat consumers? Shocking!
Congratulations Bargrin on your 500th post! & good find :-)
Any decent models that are not by Soniq in the sub-$100 dollar price range?
No other brands are under $99, Sony discontinued their budget model.

No, but for under $130 you can grab an LG, Samsung or Panasonic.
The Toshiba isn't sub-$100 but is a good choice as it can be made region Free
Thanks for all of your posts. Congratulations you have no doubt spent alot of time to help alot of people. Sharon.

Hey bargrin, thanks a lot for all your posts. We all appreciate your efforts.
what are the chances of buying the player and blu-ray's then returning the player??
lol… interesting… but we wouldn't expect any less from ozbargainers!
443 bargain posts, 500 posts altogether including forum threads.
Still a much better effort than me. Congrats!!
Any ideas when this deal expires?
Dontt even buy the soniq, the thing reads blu rays very slow, and takes ages at time to booting up, when initiating the on button like it needs to be preheated. 2 years experience owner of soniq Bluray player..
Am I correct in assuming this includes blu-ray box sets too?
Yes it does. Just bought the Harry Potter all movies box set (11 blurays) for $49.
I bought this on Amazon for $35??
Hmmm, atm $55 delivered from amazon uk and $100+delivery on amazon.com.
Brilliant deal. I recall when they did this last year. I grabbed the excellently reviewed Samsung BD-E5300 I think it was, and about $1200 worth of bluray films, mostly boxsets I've been wanting badly. $600 for those, cant go wrong. And lets face it, stuff like star trek, twilight zone, game of thrones boxsets arent cheap.
I gave a +ve because of OP's 500th post :)
Oh and also quite a good deal
thanks! and keep up the good work… but maybe u shud get out more… :)
Good effort. +ve - bargrin you're a legend.
Thanks OP. Just got the Sony BDPS185 for $126 and a whole bunch blurays.
Edit: Link to the Sony bluray player,

Also the Playstation 3 is counted as BluRay player in this deal, just saw it on the back of their catalog ie 160GB PS3 is $328 + 50% off up to 30 Blurays
Is this still valid?
When does this expire?
Was there today and saw heaps of cheap blu rays for $12 which would make them only $6 per movie. They have the Soniq 3D BR player advertised for $99 so it might be a good multi-buy if someone is interested in upgrading from DVD.
