  • I was looking at this earlier today.
I have an upcoming project at home to redo some Cabinetry and was considering if this is worthwhile purchasing for the kitchen catalogue.

Anyone have any previous experience with it?

Hard to find many reviews, but for $33 it's hard to go too far wrong.

Here are some favourable reviews for bits of this package.

Can't find any reviews on Amazon etc, but maybe that's to do with sales channels (??)

There are several free CAD packages available, but you might find that the learning curve would be easier in a commercial package.

Humble's MO for quite a while now seems to be that they take a bunch of indy (or little known) titles and bundle them together to give the sense of value in order to try and make whatever money they can for titles that probably don't sell that well individually. Every now and then a gem of a bundle arrives, but those are few and far between these days.

They burnt through all the quality bundlable titles in the first year, now it's just random junk. Good concept but questionable lifespan.

Ashampoo is really hitting the bottom of the barrel. It's the kind of software I would expect to find on a CD attached to a 2000s copy of PC PowerPlay, along with a few thousand other crapware titles.

When you can get Fusion 360 for free as a hobbyist, it is hard to justify even $30 for something from Ashampoo.

Granted F360 has a steep learning curve, but once you have the basics (everything starts from a 2D sketch as the base) I found it very powerful and useful for detailed drawings.

  • Bookmarked 👍

  • Not an architect but for some reason I feel like playing around with this will either further my game dev self studies or just be a fun complicated sims.. Either way better spent on this than junk food.

    • I guess this will be good for when I need to design my house

  • Any good for 3d printing or DYI PC mods like Distro's or custom PC parts?
