  • Anyone know how many points you would need for business class between Brisbane -> Dubai? Or Dubai Larnaca?

    Or first class?

I can't find this type of calculator anywhere.

      • From what I understand, thst calculator shows you how many points you earn by flying?

Not when trying to redeem points?

        • +1

It shows points earned, points to redeem and points to upgrade.

          • @jacobb: Thanks, when doing a search it the results only seem to show the "Flex Plus" number of miles to book, which are much higher than the "Saver" number of miles in that table. How do you find "Saver" Business class seats to book with points?

  • How much is 60k points worth?

    • +1

About 2/3 of the path from Sydney to Dubai in business class. Then you will have to jump out of the plan or pay 1/3 in cash.

To be honest the fees that EK are currently charging for premium cabins is just not worth it.

  • +1

FYI 63K miles to get PER-DXB return.

    • Is that business or economy?

      • Econ based on the calculator above.

  • is citibank credit card easy to get approved?I have been rejected by ANZ

  • Does anyone know if you can still get this card if you currently hold a Citi Qantas Premier Card?

Also do Emirates release more business/first seats to their own Skywards program, compared to partners like Qantas?

    • +1

Unlikely - I tried applying for the Citi Qantas premier while I had the Citi card with the velocity points promo and they declined me. Couple months later with the velocity one closed and was accepted

    • I had the Qantas Premier Card open and I applied to the Citi Rewards Velocity offer - I got approved the same day - so likely possible.

  • Has anyone got the definition of "spend on eligible purchases"? Like if it's something highly obscure or just a purchase.
In the past for this card I think the rewards were triggered by buying an Emirates flight but I can't find anything that tells me what the eligible spend is.

There was a document that outlined this. Excludes bpay and government spend. Not sure if there’s anything else.

      • Thanks… will just spend and see I guess. It takes 10 week to post the points it says.
Hoping to get them as I've been madly saving Amex point for an Emirates flight and would be a nice boost to get extra 60.

        • It’s usually quite earlier than that. Maybe couple of weeks from the statement date.

  • So once you get the card all you have to do is spend $1 (eg. McDonald) and 10 weeks later you get your 60k points?

    • I got the card last month, points are showing in my Citi app, not yet transferred to Emirates. I spent maybe about $500 in various transactions before I noticed them so presumably yes - spend any money = get points.

  • Anyones points gone across to EM yet
