One of the few 8000Hz mice on the market, at a solid price. Great sensor, materials, weight, shape, cable, and switches, combined with an elite polling rate.
There's plenty of reviews that debate the benefits, but it's simple enough to explain: if the game supports it and you're trying to track aim on fast-moving objects, going to 4000Hz and higher provides an accuracy benefit due to the data coming in being more naturally fluid. Your mouse movement becomes more in-step with your own hand-eye coordination.
The increased polling rate also reduces mouse jitter effects as you climb to 360Hz and higher refresh rates, which is the point where 1000Hz starts to struggle due to timing issues with each display refresh, i.e. mouse movement can be as much as a third of a frame behind at 360Hz.
This increased polling rate does come at the cost of some CPU usage, but nothing that should be destroying your competitive gaming experience, and you can always set it to 4000Hz to reduce this effect while maintaining the benefits until the rest of your hardware chain catches up.
I'm dreading the comments section of this one, but enjoy!
Whether you use the 8000hz or stick to the standard 1000hz $59 is cheap for a good mouse like this.
