.50% off is not a deal.

    • +1

I believe that's a poorly placed "." The product is actually 50% off - a quick google search will show that this product sells for about $200 in other australian bike stores.

therefore, assuming this is something you're looking for, it is a good deal.

  • This was posted the other day but Mods deleted it

    • The previous deal was posted by an undeclared rep. Literover.com.au is still suspicious, but at they declare this time.

      • +1

Why is liferover.com.au suspicious? Aside from having an unattractive website design, they have full contact details on their website. There is no ABN, that I can see, but this could be an oversite. Their products are reputable stores (http://www.ivanhoecycles.com.au for example).

        • +1

Unattractive design is irrelevant. Especially, if you compare this website to original msy.com.au

LOL. Nice to know that others are also scarred by the memory of that particular dog's breakfast! ;)

      • Have to say Literover.com.au is not bad. I bought the flameless Wax Candle set just several days ago and I got it in 3 days.

    This is NOT 50% off…

    http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:MfWLUwj…

    -ve vote for fibbing…

    • But the "list price was $249 back then, so maybe it is 60% off now?

Well caught. Looks the same as my $45 light from DX. Except from the BS 900 lumen claim, I think theirs has a SSC-P7 emitter, so not as bright as the XM-L, which has 1200 BSLs. (bull lumens)

(900 is the rated limit of the emitter in ideal conditions. Real lamps can never equal that.)

      • A good quality high powered bike light should consider the accessories quality, waterproof, radiating effect as well, so combined these parameter, the literover light is the best value award winning in Australia market by "ride on magazine".

        • did you even read their review? i would not buy any lights they recommended. they were off with the fairies

    • +2

It is different brand and different quality, even the light dose not has Australia approved, please have a look the charger, it can not used in Australia.

      • Brand? It is a no-name. A shop brand (Pablo @ LeTour?). From the same Shenzhen or Shanghai factory as the ebay ones.
        Except with an Australian plug.

The 900 lumen claim is a bit of a give-away.

      • +1

I bought that exact light, and the charger can yes used in Australia.

        • Exactly, just rotate the pins to a 45 degree angle and plug 'er in (thats what I did). Just got to make sure it is a 110-240v range power supply (which it will be).

        • +1

just rotate the pins to a 45 degree angle

I've seen such bent pins stuck in a wall socket, surrounded by black scorch marks. I think it was in a backpackers'.

  • I told you guys, I am not the REP.

  • Only 900 lumens!
Bah! I need to burn the retinas of fellow cyclists before I'm happy.

    The Burniator

  • Pretty much the same as this which is $79.95

    http://www.cellbikes.com.au/BRC-NiteStar-2-0-900-Lumen-Light…

Not much of a deal here.

  • ".50%off" & "$99.95" is the rep still living in the 1950 preying on the naive and illiterate

  • Yet another rebranded Magicshine?
$70 for the good ones on DealExtreme.

    No bargain at $100.

    • Even the $45 ones are great. I half expected the battery to die by now, but no. The only problem seems to be lack of a low-battery warning light.

  • Honestly, I don't think the same 900 lumens light (45 bucks one) is the same quality as literover's trail blazer. The trail blazer ranked number one in best value for money category on "Rides On" magazine for a consecutive 2 years, otherwise the 45 bucks should be appeared on Rides On magazine. I bought the light several days ago and never regret to buy it. The 1000 lumens trail blazer comes with orignial packed sumsang battery. So I highly recommended this one.

No, magazine reviews generally only cover products sold by their advertisers.
And please stop calling it a "900 lumen" light, when you should know the number is a lie. (It is the emitter maximum.)
