  • dang i transferred from TPG to superloop early last week, however since TPG has a 30 day termination period, I haven't actually used superloop's service or been billed by them yet.
i do already have an account with them, can I cancel and get on this deal instead?

    • plentifoo can you please confirm what type of account do you have with Superloop, however as per terms and conditions of the deal, existing customers cannot avail this offer.

      • my account has been cancelled by superloop. the registration process via econnex should go through fine now i believe. how long does it take for econnex to respond on service activation? this is instantaneous via superloop.

  • This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other corporate offer or discount.

Can I assume the discounts listed on your website are fine to use in conjunction? Eg, Special Offer $15 Off For First 6 Months - For New Customers Only

    • it offers the same discounts further into the rego process.

    • puffinfresh, you can avail of this offer in conjunction with any retailer-specific offer, according to terms and conditions this offer is being undertaken by Econnex Comparison, however, $15 Off For the First 6 Months is an offer undertaken by the retailer.

Can you provide a start date in future? as the current broadband provided required 30 days notice period

    • Yes you can in the sign up process

  • +4

    I signed up to Superloop yesterday… You're welcome :')

  • +1

the website now wouldn't let me proceed pass the 2nd page after saying I'm eligible for FTTP at my address…the 'NEXT' button does nothing.

@Manyo: Perhaps fix the website instead of blaming users.

        • +1

          it's a sh!tty website no doubt.

Chrome on mobile worked for me, but I had to spam the next buttons at several points. I just got superloop nbn activated – this better worth it and I get my gift card asap.

        • +1

Web developer here (not affiliated) source map errors aren't important and won't block the page from working, it must be something else. For what it's worth, it doesn't work for me either, but I'm on mobile right now so can't check the console.

  • Can't find my address or my neighbours' address in the lookup. Currently connected on FTTP with another provider so i am reasonably sure i can get it.

This offer is available to new customers.

What is considered a 'new' customer?

I switched from Superloop to More recently…

So far, More appears to have slightly better speeds than Superloop…

    • in the same boat

      • in the same boat

I've been really impressed with More Telecom's speeds during peak.

Might take off the life jacket now…

        • Do you still have a standard (VOIP) home phone with MORE…?
(I can't seem to find details on MORE for NBN + phone bundled)

I have VOIP with Crazytel and Mynetfone.

NEVER bundle your voip with your ISP.

It makes it much, much harder to change providers…

            look here…

Great timing as I was going to switch to Superloop before 31 March!

  • +8

Sounds like one is selling their soul for $100 based on the info you authorise them to keep. More that they note "We may disclose personal information to:share with others" https://www.econnex.com.au/privacy-policy/

It was tempting as I was considering giving Superloop a go regardless but looking at that, one can expect a lot of spam, calls etc from many 3rd parties should they choose! Not sure it's worth $100?

    • lesson learnt - i didn't go through the T&Cs closely enough.

the website was horrible to work through, but I managed. Now I'm in talks with superloop to remove by old account.

    • Good point. Pricing looks good. Was planning to ditch telstra but not sure if added marketing spam is worth it - even if you do block the numbers.

    • one can expect a lot of spam, calls etc from many 3rd parties should they choose!

Just give them fake email, phone and address…. Problem solved

      • Yeap and is what I am considering as I have a temp mobile number. Only thing though would be if ID check is required and like many ISPs they want to do a credit check.

      • Probably a good idea to give your real address if you want the internet connected and use like an alias box for email. For the phone just grab a cheap sim and activate it like what Borg said.

    • Borg, 'We take privacy very seriously and don't sell off data or any personal details. As Ecconex are providing are superloop plans in this instance we will need to share your details with them to successfully sign you up to a new plan'

      • +1

It's what the T&Cs state that's the worry. It clearly says that you collect and share details with other suppliers, vendors and marketing places.

        • +1

That was enough to put me off ''It clearly says that you collect and share details with other suppliers, vendors and marketing places''.

        • Very good point and might receive a lot of scam calls in order to receive $100. Is it worth?

  • +1

Website is bad…real bad - first attempt couldn't find my unit - but had plans at the parent address - reloaded - can find the unit but no plans - third attempt
found unit, and plans, but personal details page is blank… (just gunna moonwalk away from this deal)

Superloop are trash and I need to stop giving them money for terrible service.

    • Can you elaborate a little bit more?

      • +3

        jjcf no liek.

      • -7

        1) They are trash
        2) I give them money
        3) Because (1), I need to stop (2)

    • -1

worse than telstra? Because i have had nothing but dramas on dramas this week with them.
Couldnt organize an NBN technician if their life depended on it.

      • +4

        worse than telstra?

Telstra on a completely separate level for bad customer service…

No matter how hard other companies may try to give bad service, they won't even come close to Telstra.

        • +2

I cringe every time i need to report an issue to telstra. Live chat is slightly less headache inducing than phone call - and at least I can still multi-task when WFH or at the office. Sometimes I'm convinced they've created an AI to pilot the live chats as there is no way a real human could have such poor comprehension.

I report the NBN box upstream is flashing - so obviously it has issue.
They tell me to give MAC address of the white telstra modem/router.
I tell them very kindly, for the 100th time, I am not using that piece of crap that is the stock telstra modem/router
They then go and ask again for the MAC address, its just on the bottom of the unit.
IM NOT USING YOUR MODEM ROUTER FFS.

          • +2

            @Jimothy Wongingtons:

They then go and ask again

They don't know what they are asking.

They are just following a script.

          • @Jimothy Wongingtons: I have to say those telecom operators were almost equally as bad in Australia. So far, the only operator I have positive impression is the one I cannot use due to weak signals in my area(I don't mention the name to avoid being taken as advertisement). All the other ones I used (except Superloop, too early to tell, just used it for less than two months) were terrible, the worst was TPG. There was an incident that someone in their team too my ip address and thus I lost internet access, though PPPoE connection was established. I immediately spotted the problem and called their support asking them to check their end as I was 10000% sure something wrong in their end as tracert told me my packets were dropped two hops after the gateway, which was inside TPG's internal network. The support one the other hand, insisted sending a technician to check the cables, signal quality etc.. Wasted over a week to get it sorted.

            • @[Deactivated]: Dang was about to sign up too. Still pissed off at telstra for shafting former 100/40 to 100/20

              • @Jimothy Wongingtons: TPG did exactly the same to me. Never mind, way to many thing to complain. So I left for Superloop as it still offering 100/40. So far so good and the previous frequent dropping with TPG was gone. TPG was blaming NBN, so far it seems really to be TPG to blame.

    • as with ANY ISP - ymmv. but if you're not willing to share your mileage at all, no point commenting.

  • +3

Just an FYI the last time I got woolworths vouchers from Econnex they came with this really short expiry, like 3 months. Didn't even know it was possible to obtain woolworths vouchers with an expiry date.

    • Gift Cards are valid for 3 months and not reloadable or redeemable for cash.

    • Bonus Store eGift Cards have a 3 month expiry. They are sometimes given out as a bonus for other types of promotions (e.g.
Prezzee bonus gift card promotions). However, you cannot directly buy these kinds of gift cards, which is why you rarely see them.

Returns gift cards have a 99 year expiry.

No other Woolworths Group gift cards come with an expiry date.

  • Can we choose the start date of the connection?

    • +2

polarq, yes you may choose the start date of the connection.

      • ty

      • Where can you select the connection date? I am at the review page and did not see where I can input the date

      • +1

you can't do it on the econnex website at all.

my account got activated immediately and service was connect to uni-d2.

i'm now chatting with helpdesk to delay my activation date and reverse billing.

edit: they can't do it - have to pay for dual nbn providers this month. FML. econnex should really fix the website for better communication, people with 30 day termination notice with their current ISPs are gonna be up in arms.

        • Yes you can - you can select your start date (instead of ASAP) on the last input page.

          I just did it.

        • Hi plentifoo, happy to say the page is now working. If you are still having issues or need assistance feel free to reach out to the Econnex team, Kindly sign up through https://compare.econnex.com.au/Ozbargain-superloop/ journey to find a suitable plan for you.

No I was able to get it working with edge. But can you please tell us where can we input the start date for the connection ?

        • website is done so badly. my service just got activated immediately and now have trouble trying to delay my activation date.
on hindsight, it does seem that the moving house question is the equivalent of activation date. badly communicated but essentially meant the same thing.

    • t0087669, the issue has been fixed, kindly try to proceed again through https://compare.econnex.com.au/Ozbargain-superloop/, if you still face any issues, reach us at [email protected], so that we can further assist you.

Am I a new customer if I haven't been with Superloop in 4-5 months?

  • It's putting in a new development fee even though I've paid that in the past. It says "if applicable" but how do I know this won't be charged to my credit card?

    • Leon81, if you have paid in past mostly you will not be charged, but if there is a charge, our team will confirm before processing

      • I see the same. I paid this in past with TPG.

  • +1

I went to get this but I noticed a (potential) snag. How can we get this deal if it expires in 2 days and SuperLoop have to have "successfully activated your broadband service" doesn't activating a broadband service take time?

    • I thought if you're already with an NBN provider the switch can sometimes even be minutes?

      see: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/36yzy62y

      YMMV

    • Hi there, if you submit your application in the promotion period you will be eligible so long as your service is successfully connected post this and you remain with Superloop for at least 30 days.

  • +1

It says i can get FTTB then it shows zero plans available for my address :/

  • +1

Hi @manyo I have entered my address, selected the plan but it is telling me I need to pay the $300 NBN new connection fee, not sure why as I have an active connection already..seems more than one of us are having the same problemo ..

    • only if applicable. i had the same thing but did not have to pay it as i already have an existing nbn connection.

    • Fastjam, if you have paid in past mostly you will not be charged again, however in case if there is a charge, our team will confirm or contact you before processing.

  • Bugger this, I'm with kogan which is $1 cheaper. If I switch now, 4 days into my billing cycle, I lose almost an entire month that I've already paid for (they don't give pro rata refunds - typical kogan behaviour).

    • Most carriers don't refund for unused days. Launtel are one of the few that do as they charge by the day rather than by the month.

  • +1

Is the website getting the OzBargain treatment? Or does the website just suck?? Because It's freezing constantly, it can't find my address, can't select a date to move service etc (next button greyed out).

Edit: tried incognito mode as per OP's suggestion, website still broken. How is your website so shitty in 2022??

    • Website just sucks
