I think it depends on the restaurant - some have a minimum order amount (presumably "free" delivery) whilst others have a lower minimum order amount and fixed delivery fee.
Lousy deal, just the same as Menulog but the delivery charges are all more expensive!
Please be specific. I'm sure Delivery Hero would like to know if this is the case.
Just searched 4217 Surfers Paradise and comparing the restaurants that are shown on both websites they are as follows….
Tandoori Place - 50c more and menulog offer 20% off 1st order which is better anyway
Wok in a Box - $5 as opposed to menulog's free delivery who also offer 20% off 1st order and buy 6 get 7th meal free.
Cuisine Garden - Delivery Hero $8, Menulog is $5
crap deal when u consider that most of the places charge much higher via deliveryhero than they do if u call up and order from them directly. I wouldn't consider using deliveryhero unless it was at least $10 off

Um no need to be specific at all as it is across the board. Almost every restaurant has different daily specials/deals offered… none of which are available when ordering via deliveryhero.
I think there's a big difference between offering a menu item via call up vs DeliveryHero at a different price (which is what I thought you were originally complaining about) and offering a daily special which is not on the DeliveryHero menu.
i presume can only use once? i received this code in an email from them and used already …i would recommend Delivery Hero …as menulog only have discounts for new members
Higher delivery prices than Menulog, I guess higher fees for my local restaurants. Even with the $5 off it's not much of a deal

Most restaurants near me have no delivery charge on Menulog but they do on Delivery Hero. It is usually on a couple of dollars so only worthwhile ordering with Delivery Hero when there is a coupon.

Unfortunately it does happen sometimes that we may have price discrepencies with some of our restaurant delivery fees, so we will be looking into all your comments immediately to make sure they are fixed up.
While this deal was posted up by one of our Ozbargain users, unfortunately this Delivery Hero deal has already expired (as of 30/04/12).

Yep, you are right, when comparing websites it did seem a bit confusing, but we’ve had a look and we did find one difference with the delivery fees:
-We do charge the additional 50c for Tandoori Place because this is what they have stated on their updated menu and website.
-Cuisine Garden and Wok in a Box are the same delivery fees as our competitors, the amount just changes depending on which suburb you are ordering from- this could have been the confusing bit, but we had a check through them and they all match.
