Maybe the mods can help you out. I don't think I have an avatar for any of my online personas other than my ancient facebook account and steam account. Prefer to blend into the background.

  • Been holding off for series 8 to see if it's worth buying over older models. Desperately need to upgrade my series 3. Glad only red is available, can't say no if it was either silver or black!

    • Ahh, you guys are just boring. Add some colour to your life. I do get black and silver would match with things a little easier.

      • Idk, wearing a red watch with businesswear seems almost as wrong as wearing a hoodie with no sleeves or singlets with my nipples showing

        • I was just joking. I'm pretty boring too. I don't know if I could wear a red watch all the time. I dabble with a bit of colour with my glasses but other than that I would blend perfectly into a death metal concert crowd.

    • I'm still having a good time with my Series 3 - sure, a bit slow at times, but seems to do almost all the features I'd want from even the newer gens. What are your gripes?

I'm still blown away by how well my Series 3 is working, and how much I still like it, considering it's a 4-year-old model. Still getting 2-day battery life with heavy use, 3 days with light use. Super responsive. I get all my notifications on time. Can respond to text messages/iMessage, and Facebook messages just by talking (in multiple languages). Can get directions while driving car just by saying "Hey Siri, how do I get to…?". Heart rate and step counter still accurate. Actually useful watch faces and not just gimmicks.

      • Series 3 is showing its age. WatchOS 8 is a bit much for its specs. Wallet app takes longer to load, every time I'm in a hurry the app shows errors tapping coz I didn't wait for it properly load - so I have to do it again looking like an idiot. Music app takes a couple of seconds to respond after I click next. Everything is jittery. 8GB isn't enough to have apps. It's like asking a 60yo to lay some bricks - they can do it but they going to feel it and it will show. Series 3 has been good but it's time for her to retire

  • I got the 40mm GPS + Cellular version from Telstra ($509 and then had Telstra points to get for $429). The red is actually really nice and the band is more of a blood orange/red. I got the pride sport loop to go with it and it looks nice.

Knowing my luck, the Series 8 will have blood glucose monitoring which would be handy for me as a Type I diabetic (even if it is just a guide and not exactly precise, it would be great). Can't see it happening as the medical industry would crap all over it, even if it was actually handy, due to potential loss of revenue from their ridiculously expensive solutions.

      Sorry can’t stop myself…

      Username checks out…

  • Can you change the band away from that shocking colour ?

    • It's actually not a bad color. It's a light red and not a dark red like the watch. I like it personally
