After years of ripping us off the Oz ski resorts have seen the drift to other shores (any shores, I prefer the US) and started to 'deal'. Too late, the horse has bolted. See y'all in Colorado….Rocky Mountain High…..

    • In all fairness, its easier for other places because of the limited ski season in Australia. They have the same infrastructure costs at the end of the day as other locations, but have to make as much profit in a far shorter amount of time.

when you think it through, its only logical that the cost will be higher if the season is shorter.

      • i can see your point. but they can also make bigger profit by attracting more people to go there. it is about HOW THEY RUN THEIR BUSINESS BETTER.

when you think it through, its only logical that THIS TIME they go mad because they offer 10-15% discount which means they actually lose more money, considering their "cost will be higher" and "the season is shorter".

    • some of us need a fix more regularly

      cya corn, good riddance.
No doubt your a boarder, so leaving more room for us skiers is always a good thing. Though that's one less border to put over the side of the traverse.
      wow, look at me trolling.
Some of us like supporting what Aussies are doing.
Sure we don't have any real mountains in this country, but good on em. Tough enterprise.
+1 Thx for first ski deal post.
Good luck for the season guys.

true true! it's cheaper for me to fly out to NZ and spend the weekend at the snow field there.

I'm not sure I would go to Threadbo again with it being so cheap to fly over NZ for a far better quality ski.

@dexy, if this is so great, why aren`t you voting positive?

@cheapskateasian & @johnno07, can you share some NZ options? looking to take the family for the 1st time this year so any savings would be appreciated.
