does it work with Government store as well?

    • Yes!

      • Damn! Just ordered mine 5 days ago. Reckon they can honour this deal if i ask them nicely on the chat?

        • if opened i dont think u will

now if u SAY its unopened and you will send it back because it has a 30 day? return policy or could be 14 days unsure

you may have a chance in the game ;)

        • I ordered an S22 2 days ago which hasn't been sent out yet. I just tried multiple times to reach their chat support which auto closes when you get to first in line. I then tried phone support which has an automated message saying the lines are too busy, call back later and hangs up =/

          Super frustrating.

          • @surprisebanzai: same experience with me with the chat. I guess phone wont be much good either today.

            • @habek: Same… My work ordered a S22 but I would like a S22 Ultra from the EDU store… I tried chatting but no luck so phoned them and about after 30min they (and 5 people later) they said they can't change the order… Really really bad service. 4 people say yes and transfer me and last guy just says no but then there's a 14 days return policy.. WTF. Thinking of just selling the S22 and buying the S22 Ultra lol.

          • @surprisebanzai: I managed to call them after hours of trying. They said that you can cancel and reorder it again IF you selected the common color. However if you picked the custom color like me, then it can not be cancelled =(. Hope that helps

            • @ryoma555: Thanks @ryoma555 - I can't see an option to cancel on the website. Did you request the cancellation over the phone?

  • Thinking of getting the S22+, anyone knows any good accessories to get?

Just for you information, there is the issue for GOS app. It is for optimizing gaming performance, but applied most of the app except benchmark app. (So from benchmark it has good score) It makes longer battery time, low heat but its performance becomes same as galaxy s10.

    • +1

This! The issue has been on-going for years in fact. A lil dirty secret (well not really) of Samsung phones.

  • What 5G Telco do you guys sign up for after buying these outright?

  • is the Galaxy Watch 4 40mm on sale?

  • Thanks for this, was going to preorder with JB earlier but this is the same price without having to mess around with a trade in

  • Bought my 256GB S21 Ultra for 800$ through the trade-in offer last year. With this, If I send my device in, I'm getting the S22 Ultra 256GB for 570 with the trade-in and EPP discount. I'm a huge fan of the S-Pen and I personally love the boxy rectangular design of the S22, I'm not a huge fan of the rounded S21. Is it a good price to upgrade?

    • same boat. bought a S21 U. I like it but I can't stand the shape after having note for 3 prior generations. Thinking of pulling the trigger and getting this ugly-shaped phone out of here.

      • Same, I've always had striaght line phones, came from OnePlus and loved the Note series for that very reason.

        • I did it. couldn't resist, 579$ after trade and bonuses.

          • @[Deactivated]: What bonus did you get in the 579$? :O

            • @ronitdias: here.

on EDU store's price on 256 black.
              -50 newsletter voucher
              -650 for my s21 U trade
              -250 trade in bonus
-20 cash back from my card

If anyone is curious on the discount Samsung employees get:

    S22 Ultra
    128GB: $1294.30
    256GB: $1399.30
    512GB: $1504.30
    1TB: $1714.30

    My friend's friend works there.

I can't get anyone a phone at these prices sorry, as I don't know that employee personally. They also have a limit on how many you can buy on a monthly basis.

Hmmmmm, I kind of want to "upgrade" from my S7 but then again I kind of also don't. Just so used to the size.

    • I had an S7 and upgraded to the S20 5G, and it was a very smooth transition.
Very similar size, and having no bezels makes the screen seem much bigger than it is (S7 - 5.1 inch vs S20 - 6.2 inch).

You could probably pick up one in good condition for around $500 as well :)

  • Thanks for this

  • +1

Frustrating that this is just a cheaper version of the S22+ pre-order deal the day after pre-order ends.

    • Depends. With pre order there was free Samsung Care+, so for someone like me who was going to buy that anyway, that's $150. Plus there was an error on their website during the pre-order that gave many people a $200 discount even when they didn't order any accessories.

  • Same price at the Samsung Government Employees store (although i guess this would fall under EPP)

  • How does one get an email address to use the EPP store?

    • You need to have one ending in .gov.au or .edu.au from what I can tell.

There's probably more address types, but I'd be asking a friend or family member who works in state or federal government, or is a student to register for you.

    • have an .edu.au email address

  • Will jb match this if i have an edu account?

    • I just got off the phone with JB to cancel my $1350 preorder and told them why and said I'd keep the order if they could match, but they said they couldn't it.

If you have an Edu account with JB then you might have better luck though. It's worth a shot! Would probably suggest going into the shop to try it though.

      • Yeah I just spoke to them, they said not a chance. hahaha

Oh well, there loss. I have an edu account so im good with going through Samsung.

        • Yeah, pretty much my thoughts too!

To be fair, the lady I spoke to agreed it was a much better deal! Even with the "free" wireless earphones from the pre-order, the Samsung website is a much better deal.

      • Your local jbhifi number or sales team? I got told to cancel online, but that will take ages, also used jb hifi gift cards.

  • Anyon had any luck getting a phone on an existing 128gb order from Samsung store upgraded to this deal?

  • I should point out that the S22 (standard) 256gb model is now out of stock in Black.
The white is still in stock, and the Green and Pink models are up as preorders shipping on the 10th of March.

I had the black one in my cart while waiting for the $50 coupon to arrive, but I don't think it'll be arriving anytime soon going by other comments on here! Now I've got FOMO on this deal…but do wanna save $50!

  • Already got the fold2 and watch4.
But would like the Ultra tablet…
Guess I just have to wait for a sale on the tablet.

  • Hi all!! Im from melbourne SE suburbs and only need the S22 ultra!

Does anyone want the and remaining stuff? I'm happy to sell it at the sales price :) let me know!

    • You want to sell the packaging?

      • Packaging as in? I only wnated the phone so If you want the tab and watch and buds, thats the best :) haha

    • don't think you're allowing messages.

      • Just send you a message!

  • Those who already have the ultra 22, does it come with a screen protector already on?

    • I don't have it but it's well known that it does not come with a protector installed.

      • Next question. Do phone need a sp?

    • Nah just a thin plastic film

  • I tried to get a trade in using my S20FE and they were like your product doesn't qualify. I haven't even had the phone for a year!

  • Is the price for S22 $1000 after trade-in? I joined with student email and 256GB model cost $1349. Am I missing something here?

i noticed these phones do not have wifi calling/VoLTE calling option which is a huge let down. all iphones have that after iphone 6. but not all samsungs have it, only ones that are bought straight from the teleco (telstra/voda/optus) support it which absolutely sucks

    • Did this change after the note 10+ was released? I got mine directly from Samsung and it has these functioning? I am on the fence, but if this is the case i'll just stick with the Note 10+

      • here is the problem, i visited multiple threads about this issue, some say it has it and they bought it from Samsung, some say it does not have it and they also bought it from Samsung, as first hand experience a family members s8+ does not have it and it was bought from Samsung (its suppose to have it though) as some members in the thread has it and some didn't, so its so hard to tell until you buy and test it which is extremely inconvenient. however all iPhones released after 'iphone6' have it no matter where you bought the iPhone from.

for those who dont know what wifi calling is, it basically uses your wifi/4g/5g to make phone calls. basically like WhatsApp but built into the phone it self, this is for incoming calls too. so very clear phone calls with no dropouts or static noise. and this works perfectly if you are somewhere that does not have good reception bars like indoors or basement. or anywhere that normal phone signal gets dropped out. this is a must have specially these days where most work from home and a clear reception is a must.

    • Thats not right. All of these have access to WIFI calling its just if your provider supports it or not and if your account has it enabled. I have an outright S20FE directly from the Samsung Store and a Post Paid plan with Telstra and I have wifi calling.

      • I do know it only works with the main carriers and not those that use their networks, like Kogan, Boost etc.

        • +1

Actually Boost is the only MVNO that it does work with. Source: I have Boost

          • @webkit: good to know it's changed, as a few years back, I swear it wasn't active.

    • Keep in mind that, last I checked, most prepaid plans don't get VoLTE, except Boost.

    • Purchase all my phones direct thru Samsung,
I'm on optus with wifi calling currently active

  • for the S22, only green or custom colours available now for the 256gb size :/

  • Looks like all colours are back in stock. Shipping from 17th March

  • Hoping someone can give me some insight into the Samsung Care+. My work bought me an S22 but I want the S22 Ultra. So I was thinking of selling it and just buying the S22 Ultra from the EDU store. Would cost me about 250 out of my pocket but happy to pay it. But I then saw they added the Samsung Care+ option and this allows you to trade the phone. So can I trade it for a S22 Ultra and just pay the difference. I mean the phone hasn't even been shipped hahaha.

  • +2

Still waiting on the $50 coupon… think it’s been more than 48 hours now…

    • Same… I'm pst for having to wait for confirmation from my work coz I could have gotten the ultra for 1299 with Samsung care. They ordered the S22 for 100 bucks more and now I want to get the Ultra and it's like 1650 with Samsung care. FFS

  • With the trade in bonus, anyone tried to get the bonus and not return the device. It looks like there is a $60 admin fee they will charge, but if you get a $250 trade in bonus then it's still worth it?

    • also would like to know

  • I used my S21 U as a trade in, after using the trade in code on checkout for s22 U. I reset the s21 U thinking I'll have to pack and send the phone soon anyway. But I don't have any instructions in my email. Will that happen after I receive my new phone?

    • Yes. At least that was the case when I traded in my Note10 last year

      • gotcha, thank you!

  • +1

are these phones the dual sim version?

    • did you end up finding an answer? i'm also curious to know

  • Has anyone got their S22 / S22 + / S22 ultra yet?

Or do they all ship on the 10th of March?

And first time I'm trading in. Do they give you a box to ship it back with?

  • Mine was ordered on 28 Feb. Status changed from Customising to Ready to ship yesterday morning. Estimate arrival date is 21/03/2022. The earbuds have already been shipped.

    • Which colour did you order ??

      • +1

Graphite so it is a special order.

        • I ordered a graphite 23rd of Feb and its still on customising. Did you end up getting yours?

          • @WilhelmBargo: Yea the S22 got delivered yesterday.. My S22 Ultra which was ordered on the 11th is still in processing (Green so not even customized)

  • Anyone looking for just the S8 Tab (Wifi) please pm me :)

    Short the market ;)

    • My rooted Note doesn't seem to be a valid trade in haha

    • The trade in bonus $250 offer has been extended till 31 Mar 2022.

      • If only the app worked on my phone haha..

        • Yeah, I am also trying since yesterday on mobile, laptop, PC and tried all browsers but as soon as I type the first alphabet “S” of the trade-in code, I get the error “ Sorry, due to an error, trade-in service is unavailable at the moment”.
Is anyone else experiencing the same? Since it gives the error on first alphabet, so definitely its not something to do with my trade-in code.

          • @OZBsince2018: Did you do it on App so that it is a code for online, i.e. did you have to enter credit card detail before code appeared? Seems they have changed the process recently so need valid credit card before the code is able to be used online - otherwise you will get the error message that you got. I had the same issue and took me a while before figuring this out.

  • Is anyone willing to purchase one of these through the EPP on my behalf? I'm willing to pay a fee, and you would get to keep the $50 coupon and get credit card points etc.

I'd like to deal with someone based in Perth, please, so I can meet in person.

Message me direct if you are willing to help.

    • I'm in Perth. What would you like to order?

  • Is there a way to trade in a rooted phone?

  • Has anyone had experience buying more than 1 phone for someone other than the account holder via Edu store? Do they ever do any checking or verification that the phone is only used by the edu account holder? Just paranoid they'll cancel my order or even worse disable the edu account something like that. The T&Cs say you can't buy for family and friends.

    • I bought two, both under each of my parent's names, no dramas.

      • Cool, cheers mate. Fingers crossed down the line nothing happens!

  • Does anybody know why no orders pop up in the "my orders" page, even though I pre ordered?

    • +1

Make sure you're logging in to the Edu store? Click on the link from this deal to log in.

      • I tried both but nothing. Really weird!

        • That's odd! I know the same happened to me but I realised that whenever I was trying to log in it was taking me to the normal store. I had to click the link from here which took me to the Edu store login. Hope you figure it out soon!

  • anyone get an email from Asurion yet? received my phone Friday morning but no e-mail with a shipping label.
