On sale from GeekBuying are two different 3D Printers each selling for the same price. Both are from the brand Geeetech who are a long established open source 3D printer manufacturer.

First up is the Geeetech Mizar 3D Printer that takes your standard filament such as PLA and ABS etc. This printer has a print size of 220x220x260mm, touch screen display, level bed and works with different slicing programs including EasyPrint 3D, Simplify 3D, Cura, Slic3r and more.

Next up is Geeetech's Alkaid Resin 3D Printer that is different to your standard filament printer. While it does require more prep work, it offers higher quality printers and better for more complex parts than a FDM printer. This has a print size of 82x130x190mm, 2K resolution, touch screen display and works with many slicing programs like the other printer.

  • The Mizar looks like a cheaper Ender 3 V2 clone, but with far less community reputation or community support. It appears that advertised auto level bed you mention does not come standard but requires additional purchases, is that correct? I also can't see where to download the open source for that printer from.

The Alkaid looks like average value, it can print slightly taller models (190mm vs 165mm) but otherwise appears spec-identical to the much cheaper Anycubic Photon Mono (~$240)?

Geekbuying is good, have bought from them a number of times.

P.S Both links in description go to the resin printer.

    • Thanks I've fixed the link and regarding the auto level bed being an option extra - seems the Mizar S has it. I mentioned Geeetech being open source based on their wikipedia page and EasyPrint 3D software they've produced it supposed to be open source.

Either way community feedback is always appreciated by GeekBuying to know what's good and what's not.

      • Sorry Clear, both links are still going to the resin page.
