      But it's not as good as the price on Saturday with the Afterpay 10% off code (which was sub $450), hence why I don't really consider either of them to be a deal. I've been keeping an eye out for one of these to upgrade my 3700X for a little while.

        Nah, I would hodl till Ryzen 7xxx comes,
        I also have a 3900x, Not slow at all (Until you install win 11). I even had to get a hw TPM module to make it run properly. fTPM did not help.

          @electroz: if i was going to upgrade to AM5 I'd probably just move to alder lake to be honest. the appeal of these 5000 series chips is that they drop into my X570 board.

          although I should probably wait for the new 3D cache models.

            @Diji1: Well, I installed win 11 with fTPM. Had no installation issues.

            Was giving me win expolrer freezes here and there when using stupid win 11. Specially when using folders with symlinks.
            Damn thing just freezes for few seconds (5-10)

            Disabled fTPM. Did not fix anything.

            Got sick of it, bought a hw TPM from scorp (prob paying too much) and there are no more explorer freezes.
