  • Damn that's a great price on 4tb

Do we not even care who makes these drives anymore?
I mean Silicon power is one thing but this just seems completely random.

Seems alright considering it's $60 cheaper than a lexar nm790

My first time seeing this brand, but apparently they're connected with SK Hynix, one of the big three flash chip manufacturers. So not completely random at least.

Klevv are a "clever" sales/marketing operation under the Hynix name

Their DDR5 RAM using Hynix die is decent value

But with SSD's, rather than providing cut price rebadges of the Gold P31 and Platinum P41, they are providing garbage Fanxiang/Fikwot tier drives

      • +2

If it wasn’t garbage they’d use their own brand and a lite or SE badge.

    Garbage drive

Any 4TB Gen 4 drive using "strictly-selected 3D TLC NAND Flash" with only 5K read/write speeds is using C-tier components

My KLEVV CRAS C910 dead after 8 months.
Adding mine, Klevv CRAS C930 2tb. Bought July 18 2023, became read only today Aug 23 2024
Wow second this. I just got my retailer to RMA exactly KLEVV CRAS C910 1TB one. Bought in Oct 2023 and dead yesterday.

    You have been warned

That reads like YMTC 128l trash.

    • Wow, it looks like this cheap drive is using NAND that is so low quality that it is only good for 1 or 2 write cycles…

  • If you want budget 4TB, just cough up a bit more and get a Kingston NV3 - no point trying to save a bit for something you plan to use for many many years
