IKEA 365+ Sauté Pan, Stainless Steel 24cm $20 (In-Store Only) @ IKEA

70

Not a bargain, but still reasonably priced for those WFH from floods.

Product details
Works well on all types of hobs, including induction hob.

The pan has a rounded interior, which makes stirring and beating easy.

You can use this sauté pan with lid both on the stove and in the oven, and bring it to the table and serve from it.

Made of stainless steel, which makes the pans durable and easy to clean.

Thick base with one layer of aluminium between two layers of stainless steel. Gives an even and energy-efficient heat, which reduces the risk of food burning and sticking.

You can cook food on a low heat and save energy because the stainless steel in the pan absorbs heat well and retains it for a long time.

Easy to hang up and store by using the hole in the handle.

You can use this pot with lid both on the stove and in the oven, and bring it to the table and serve from it.

Steam vent reduces pressure so that food does not easily boil over.

Using the lid brings the contents of the pot to a boil faster, so that you can save time, energy and money while lowering your environmental impact.

Can also be used in the oven since it is made entirely of metal.

No PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) is used to create the non-stick surface of this product.

While it's double the price the Sensuell pan is significantly better quality: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/sensuell-frying-pan-stainless-s…
For something with a 25year warranty the Sensuell should really 'last a lifetime' while the 365+ range is OK (for the price-range) it still feels lightweight and cheap.

    • Which part of the pan breaks first? Usually I'm tossing out pans when moving

      • I've been using a saucepan for over a year and I think the only thing I've noticed is that sometimes water can get inside between the handle and the pan itself. I perhaps think the handle is hollow because water can leak out from seemingly nowhere. But the rivet is still solid and no wobble, so I cant be certain.

      • This one is a brand new product that is replacing the old IKEA 365+ design, but it's basically identical to the range called Oumbarlig which recently was discontinued too. I've owned the Oumbarlig Pots and pans for about 4 years, the pots are absolutely perfect, no issues whatsoever. The pans/wok have been great, it took until now until the non stick coating started degrading slightly which is to be expected in non-stick pans. I'm extremely happy with them for the price I paid and use I got out of them, will prob buy the newer range of non stick pans now to replace them.

      • I've not broken any of my Sensuell pans (approx 5-8 years use so far) the rivets holding the handle on the most used one is slightly loose now though.

In that time I previously would have gone through 2 or 3 'brand name' (non stick) pans including Circulon and Scanpan - however the main difference is stainless V's non-stick rather than brand-name.

Why dont we just post all of our ‘not bargains…but’ from all of the websites we see!

yeah, wtf is up with ozbargain recently? this is the worst "just posting for awareness" yet.

Also why wasn’t it removed - it’s not a forum website or ikea.com.au, if i want full priced items I’d be searching the wirecutter to find the best

  • No PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) is used to create the non-stick surface of this product.

eh? I thought is was stainless inside. Which is it?

    • +1

That sentence just means it has no PFOA coating, which is true because it has no coating.

Also it's "one layer of aluminium between two layers of stainless steel" in the base.

PFOA is not a coating. Perfluorooctanoic acid was used in the making of Teflon.
I have the OUMBÄRLIG pans, which have teflon coating over the steel-al sandwich.

I've been very pleased with all the Ikea cookware, even the $5 aluminium pans with teflon coating which are perfect for cooking eggs on gas.

        • Yeah, sorry I should've been more specific, but the point still (roughly) stands.

I have two 365+ fry pans with steel-al sandwhich and teflon coating, and they've lasted a lot longer then the cheaper coles/woolworths fry pans.

One has lasted me a year is still going strong.

The other one I gave to my parents after 6 months, and it was brought onto its last legs after a few weeks.
