Best to read comments in previous Moneyme Deals!

    And Contract Key Facts Sheet:

    Credit limit
    $1k - $20k

    Interest on purchases
    16.99%

    Interest-free period
Up to 55 days on purchases.

    Interest on cash advances
    16.99%

    Annual fee
From $0 to $149 based on your credit limit and MoneyMe loan rating.

    Overdue account fee
$15 payable on the third day of each month that your Account is in arrears.

    Disputed transaction fee

    Dishonour fee
$15 payable each time a direct debit is dishonoured, or a loan repayment is not made.

    Mastercard foreign exchange fee
    2.99% of the transaction

    • Monthly fee kills it for me.

      • By comments in previous Deals…
$0 Monthly fee if balance under $20

$0 annual fee if Limit no more than $3000 but depends on your rating!

And up to 55d interest free period like many CC.

So should be able to avoid any cost if managed well & get $180 cashback!

(Never paid any interest or fees in 15yrs, on CC with $10+k limit & interest about 20%. So doable.)

But watch out for that interest & fees!

  • gone? Ozbargained ? LOL

    • I can still see it in the link.

      • changed browser and it is there….

    • Have another look!
      Also received offer in email.

    • Hi mountaineer,
This offer is visible only to standard Cashrewards members, and not to ANZ Max members.
It is also visible if you're logged out of your Cashrewards account.
      Thanks,
      minita

      • Hi, is there anyway for ANZ Max members to apply?

      • Hi minita, I have applied this and got approved, cashback has been tracked but still not approved. Can you please assist?

        • Hi,
Please DM me with your email address for your Cashrewards account and I will be happy to check.
          thanks,
          minita

  • This seems too good to be true, what's the catch?

    • +3

Its a credit card application. This kind of offer is nothing new, really. You're selling your credit rating to set up what is probably a dud card with a dud provider that you'll soon close, effectively selling your short/medium term credit rating for cash.

Which is fine imho, being careful if you need a home loan etc in the next few years.

      • +1

Yeah I might steer clear, especially if they need our bank login too. I didn't have any intention of actually using the card beyond getting the actual reward.

        • +1

especially if they need our bank login

In this day and age, where fraud occurrence is extremely prevalent, this is a large leap of faith they are requesting imo.

It's enough to deter me from finishing my application, regardless of the $180 carrot on offer to do so.

Nice cashback amount on offer though.

      • +1

your credit recovers much faster than you thought. It will recover in couple of month

        • Depends on your usage patterns. I'm making generic statements so was careful that they apply to those who don't often use credit and therefore don't rebuild quickly.

Also, if you're borderline for finance the bank may check for odd behaviours like numerous applications for credit.

  • +1

Did anyone notice in the Terms you can't use it to pay for Streaming subscriptions or Gym Membership?

The latter will not be a problem for me, but rather odd conditions.

  • +2

Important! At the final confirmation step where it shows your credit limit, you can edit this to below $3000 to avoid paying an annual fee.

    • Yes, I was approved for way more than 3k

    • There was no edit option for me

    • Thanks. I missed it accidentally but I called and got the fee waived and my limit lowered.

  • Seems like ANZ Max members are not eligible for cashback?

    • +2

Not surprised… ANZ wouldn't want you to be rewarded for signing up to a rival financial product!

      • Funny thing is.. This cashback is >> the extra 2% or so you get by being with anz max.

So, if you had to choose…

  • You get the option to withdraw money to your bank account, or pay to someone’s bank account. Both on credit - anyone knows if there’s a fee associated with it? And is it 55 interest-free days too?

I cancelled my MoneyMe account 2-3 months ago, am I eligible?

    • +1

It recognised me as an existing customer although I closed my account.

  • i think you have to provide your bank log in details to have your income checked as part of application do you? if so which banks are accepted? will a newly opened afterpay money bank account be accepted or does it have to be a normal big 4 bank account with regular income history?

  • Confirming that we dont have to actually make a transaction using the moneyme account in order to get the $180? The terms and conditions state that we just need to be approved and open an account?

The application process is a nightmare and the customer service are rude Indian call centers. Very very dodgy company. The type of company that I would suspect sell information to the internet dark web. I would strongly suggest to pass on this deal.

    • Was one of the easiest CC applications i've ever done. Not sure what you are talking about. Maybe you had to supply more information? Can't speak on that process.

  • Disappointed that Max (ANZ) accounts can't get this. I could unlink the card, but would lose about $15 in pending cashback. I'm happy to lose the extra 2%, but the wording says you lose everything.

I think I'll just hope this deal comes around again. If not, the next bunch of times there's a tossup between using CR or ShopBack, I'm going ShopBack. Maybe CR will learn not to block access like this.

  • +1

Anyone got their bonus money? It says 30 days after account opening the bonus will be deposited into Cashrewards account.

    • Nope, Been keeping an eye on it as well because I want to cancel the card but don't trust I'll get the money if I do.
