Cheapest price I could find. Supports wifi 6, IPoE and now supports PPPoE with a firmware update and eero app update.

If you don't care about wifi 6 and PPPOE support then the previous gen eero is cheaper and has it.
This version is more to be compared with the google nest wifi system which lacks wifi 6 and similar price. To get ethernet backhaul you have to purchase multiple eero 6 routers individually for $172 each.
I think the majority of people would be using mesh without even knowing what Ethernet back haul is, so it's not a major design consideration.
I have no idea what it is despite trying to read up about it previously. So for 99% of people this will seem less like an oversight and more like a good way of not having to pay for something that they won't use.
Incidentally, I have this system and think it's great. It's also worth noting that it's under the magic $300 so if you're relying on it for working from home then you can tax deduct it in the same year.
Can someone pls recommend me a modem router for FTTB connection?
I literally bought this maybe 12 hours before this post from Amazon, which doesn't even price match their own devices :)
Left a relatively positive review on Amazon regarding the device but mentioning it is cheaper on Bing Lee, chances are it won't be published eh?
No ethernet backhaul for the system seems like an oversight.
